New Tau models look very nice. Also saw 3 new 40k scale IG SHT's. "Arkurion" pattern Stormblades, Shadowswords & Stormswords. They are a lot cheaper than previous resin kits- ?85 vs ?140. But as a long time IG players in both scales and with slight leanings to treadhead tendancies, even I am moved to ask the question "why??". I mean the Malcador and Macahrius look cool and differen enough from Baneblade/Shadowsword to add something interesting. But another pattern for 3 exisiting SHT's?? Why..... Especially with adding another made up Forgeworld pattern name that, to my knowledge, has never been used before. If anything I would hope to see more Ryza/Triplex Phall/Gryphonne/Vanaheim pattern figures so we could see the contrasts of their designs compared to the standard Mars/Armageddon patterns. Why add a new pattern name? I guess if they came out with an Epic version I would buy some out of completeness. Cheers James |

Warmaster Nice: The new baneblade variants are based off of the new plastic Baneblade hull. Thus they're cheaper, because they're only 40% resin, as compared to the 100% resin of the previous Forgeworld Baneblade-variant tanks. |

I saw these, and very nice they are. Even I have to question the requirement for yet more Tau Air Caste units, though! The Aerial Mines are tiny, a Gun Drone on a flying base. ![]() The AX-2-2 is really nice, and I may need a couple just for the cool minis. |

I just love the look of the Remora Drones! Will have to hold back on getting some for a while though. |

I have to agree with you C/S. But G/W-F/W has to keep making uneeded models to sell ! Look at the IG, version after version of the same AFVs. Even the WWII Germans couldn't match them ! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

(CyberShadow @ Jan. 26 2008,09:28) QUOTE The Aerial Mines are tiny, a Gun Drone on a flying base. Look like good candidates for heavy drone and sniper drone conversions with the additions of a few bits of plastic rod and wire. Orde |
