I am getting ready to paint some of my orks and just had one quick question about ork flesh. ?What color of green are you guys using for your ork flesh. ?I am painting over a black undercoat. ?I have tried the new orkhide green and it seems to dark for such a small scale. ?I am using all citidal paints to paint my minis, that way you will know what colors I have. ?Any help would be appreciated. Spray with model color light green and then wash with a darker green ink. |

I use Dark Angels Green, highlighted with Camo Green (or 1:1 DA Green and Camo Green). Orkhide Green is great for emeralds and other "non-living" things. If you want to use Hawk Turqoise in something then Orkhide is great basecolor. It could be used as base to DA Green too... Mainly in armours and such. I think it has nothing to do with ork skin, but that is My Humble Opinion. |

(Markconz @ Jan. 22 2008,02:06) QUOTE Goblin green straight for me. Agree, you should have so many of them that you don't need to worry about washes. I will quite often spray the models white and then water down the green so that you get instant shading. |

Those all sound like good methods ... I use a jungle green, washed black, then high-lighted with Scorpion Green ... ![]() |

I use a black undercoat and brush with a light olive green, because I like that color better than the brighter greens. |

Primed black, snot green dry brushed and a flick of Goblin green on the highlights for me, definitley keep it simple, you'll have thousands of the little buggers to paint ![]() |
