Just finished a few conversions of my favorite guard tank:

The Mars Alpha Pattern hull is about 3mm longer than the standard Russ.
So the first step after removing the front Lascanon mounting, the rooftop, the stowage basket and the exhaust, is to cut the hull and fill in the "stretching" parts:



Next step is building the new roof and moving the exhaust from the rear next to the engine compartment (very similar to the Malcador heavy tank)





The finished tank (with FW Conqurer turret converted with Vanquisher gun)



To make more use of the new hull I started to build the Atlas ARV which is also based on the Mars Alpha Pattern hull:
