Awesome work WMN!

The Marcovian range continues a pace.

Great windows.

Sculpt looks a bit like it has just been stepped on, in a sort of endearing way.

Thanks. I agree about the flattness, especially when you compare it to GW products. You can make it stand a bit taller, but the leg and feet positioning starts to become a bit weird. But all things considered, the design has grown on me while painting them, and I now think they look pretty cool when viewed from above at table top distance.

Can't help but see those little high gravity crushed dwarf things from the movie Phantasm now!:D

But man that paint job is ace! Double mega big ups on the hazard stripes!

Haha, I see what you guys mean :-). We wanted something that looked robust and solid, yet was still fast and predatorial.

The Marcovian behemoths are all about staying power. This little fella was designed with that remit in mind. It's got a low profile and LOTs of armour.

It's got a choice of two heads, the armoured bridge and the observation deck. In the EW rules Behemoths all have a chance being the army commander so the heads let you have a command Behemoth or a dedicated death dealer.

(Apologies for the cross post)

I like it, both the design and the paintjob (kudos, WMN).

It seems more realistic that a building sized war engine would try to keep as sleek a profile facing the enemy as possible...

Cheers.

Sooner or later I reckon that someone will be needing a size comparison photo, so here it is. Obviously it can be used as a Warhound proxy, but it is actually large enough to function as an interesting alternative pattern Reaver if you add a suitable missile launcher to the carapace (Looks pretty good actually and also reduces the "squashed" look).

Wow, that's smaller than I thought.

Thanks for the sizing pic!

Yeah I like it, sleek low profile looks like a fast hunting machine, great warhound proxies and looks like it would still fit on 40mm base ok.

Nicely done. The model does seem a bit mashed to me though. Kind of reminds me of a bit more logically designed battletech king crab.

I like the more enclosed head to the windowed one. Feels more aggressive.

Same, the windowed head looks a bit too much like a titan you'd go sightseeing on than something you'd take to battle!

It does have an office-building-thing going on...which for some odd reason reminds me of this:

I am not entirely up to speed on the Royal Empire background, but perhaps this hints that that the Macrovians are in fact being ruled by a vicious caste of ruthless chatered accountants.

I was looking through some stuff when I came across some Chaos Warrior bits that I had intended to use for a Chaos Knight conversion years ago. Having a bit of spare time I decided to do the conversion today. A very simple conversion really, but it should look nice and Khornate once painted up.
