I like to snow camo. And yes I have been having the same problem with the shading, but have been having better luck by adding the drop of dish washing liquid to my mix ![]() Laters |

i eventually tried washing up liquid and it worked well, the first attempt i had shaded with brown ink and it looked pants so i stripped it and started again with a new aproach: ![]() this is a thin coat of Dheneb Stone over white spray undercoat, shaded with a 1-2 mix of Dhened stone and one of the browns from the foundation set thinned with water and washing up liquid. ![]() the raised/flat areas were painted with 1-1 Dheneb and brown and finally highlighted with Dheneb on the edges. what do you chaps think? |

Looks really nice, both schemes look great, but I think I like the snow camo best. Keep it up. ![]() Laters |

now i can get the look i want with the paint thin enough i might try the snow one again and put some contrasting colour on the desert scheme to compare. then its on to the guardsmen! |

Nice work! I didn't realize it would be possible to pull off such nice washes with foundation inks! |

(Mark_Logue @ Nov. 13 2007,11:45) QUOTE Nice work! I didn't realize it would be possible to pull off such nice washes with foundation inks! i did have to water it down a lot but it means u use less paint because of the high pigment. |

I think I like the snow best. I'm already planning a second guard army of Valhallans... But they both look good to me. Given that I'd probably base my decision on speed. |
