Nope still haven't gotten the car running properly.  Hopefully it won't take me too long.  I probably won't get anything done on the painting front over the weekend as we have family driving 500kms up for my daughters birthday.  I am just going to pack everything right out of the way so some "helpful" person doesn't move them out of the way and damage models (non-gamers can have difficulty understanding the level of care required when handling an Epic army).

Yay!!! I managed to get the car going.

I should be able to get back into painting on monday night when all the relies leave.

Holy snapping duck poop!

This thread is exploding, I go without computer for about a week and OMG. Mark that is a great job so far, and quick too.

Knowing first hand Cal's patience with small details, I'd say this was a darn good investment old buddy!

All the best with the Car, I should be back in Brissy in May so maybe we can get a game in then some time..

Maybe I can talk you into painting some guard?

All this Eldar painting is making me want my own Eldar army.  I am considering doing a Saim-Hann army since I have already don Beil Tan and Ulthwe I want to do something different.

The big relly bash is over.  I have fixed the remote control car up again after it had a minor incident with a wooden fence (which was funny because it has plastic break points to prevent damage to expensive parts and my brother in law who had been driving it was looking at it in horror as the whole axle pops off).  So now I can get back into the painting.

First up is one of the vampires.

Cheers.  Its a big flying base.  They come with the small ones but I though it would be a bit ridiculous perched on that.

Heres the next couple of units.  The two units of Shining Spears with two Exarch's made from jetbikes, 40K eldar back plates, greenstuff and the old Eldar standard bearer for one and one of the guys of the Avatars base for the other.



edit ----

Doing the Vampire really made me want to get one.  Doing this army has made me want to do a Saim-Hann army so I actually have some Eldar of my own.  But I really want to do it as a minimal 3000pts job and don't really have room in my list for the Vampire.

I want

4 wild rider hosts
- 1 with an Autarch
- 1 with a farseer and 3 bikes (mainly to make it my Brake their Spirit formation and stop the Autarchs formation being too juicy a target)
- 1 with a farseer

2 Formations of 5 Falcons

Shining Spears with an Exarch

Aspect Warriors in a Wave Serpent (undecided on aspect depends what I can get without buying anything).

Shields of Vaul

Guardians with Wraithguard in Waveserpents.

Pheonix bombers

Avatar

The one option I do want is a wraith gate, in which case I will drop the Wraithguard from the guardians and add an extra falcon.

The Spears look great, and I like your list. Well my time is getting closer and I cant wait to see it all first hand. Well if you are looking to fund an Eldar Army, you might have to do some more commissions.

My tripod is a weary old thing that has been dragged all over the place and the fitting to hold the Camera on is just sticky taped in place, thus me having great difficulty getting very good shots when doing close ups of individual stands.

Despite that I managed to coax an ok close up of the Shining spear Exarchs after a couple of shots.

Man, I love that Vampire model. I'm currently waiting for mine to come in from Forge World. I Grabbed a Hunter though, just because I want it for Aeronautica as well. I'll likely get a Raider afterwards when I have a bit more cash.
