A little overboard on gloss varnish, IMO. Apart from that - great model.

As to painting... I've been so happily building anc converting miniatures lately that I ignored the growing qeque of stuff I have to paint. Seems I'm in for a couple of paintathons shortly, as the pile now includes no less  then 15 miniatures...

15 Horseman- I would be ecstatic if my unpainted pile was just 15 models big instead of numbering in the hundreds!  :D

Nice minis as well V- great gunfighter....
It'll be the inks giving that glossy finish on your Ork, which is one reason why I've started to use them less on my models lately, as I don't like that gloss look you sometimes get.

Just add paint to the ink and that will get rid of the gloss.

All my Epic Orks use a ink/paint wash and the paint really does get rid of the gloss.

Not my tip, this tip was bought to you by Carl Woodrow

Thanks guys :)

The tank has a real WWI feel

I'm so glad you think so. I remember when Jervis first presented the Decimator in an early version of the Black Legion list he called it "a steam punked WW1 mk1 Tank".
I really liked the image so that's what I've been trying to build. The rivets does a lot to add to that feel though they obviously aren't that great idea from a tactical POV :D :;):

Cheers! :)
