Nice minis as well V- great gunfighter.... It'll be the inks giving that glossy finish on your Ork, which is one reason why I've started to use them less on my models lately, as I don't like that gloss look you sometimes get.

All my Epic Orks use a ink/paint wash and the paint really does get rid of the gloss.
