All of FW's epic infantry, vehicles, superheavies and buildings were done at one fifth scale of their 40k counterparts though*. Their Epic space marines (and GWs ones) were all 6mm tall.
Certain sadly OOP fan made vehicles, walkers, ect were all done at one fifth, what became referred to as 'truescale'.
That means your fortress will be out of scale with pretty much everything else which is a bit unfortunate. The turrets that are dotted over the model are one fifth, so the model won't even scale properly with itself.
That's largely true. The reasoning was that Epic is 6mm scale and W40K is 30mm, so Epic models should be scaled by 1/5. However, looking at the photos, I really don't see a problem with the size moredakka has made it; it looks just fine to me.
In fact it looks pretty awesome to me.

Their initial titans were done too small, before they really figured out what they were doing, but they said they regretted that and had considered redoing them at one fifth at some point. They never did though alternatives were.
There's also the fact that FW did their first Epic titans long before their 40K ones, so at the time there was no 40K model for them to be 1/5 the size of unless you count the old Armorcast ones.
