Started working on the 1st revenant. The pin on the foot had sheared off. so I drilled it and pinned it. Now as some of you may be aware drilling into coins is a pain, so I built up the base with lumps of thick plasticard and a bit of a building, I drilled in a hole and put in a pin made from a paperclip, then I drilled into the foot, blooming hard it's so delicate. I then added green stuff to join the plasticard and building into the base. I cut up some small chunks of plasticard and pushed them into the greenstuff. I then added some patches of fine slate.



I'm doing a bit more work on the second revenant. I've removed the top engines and swept them back to give it the feel that it is racing forward. I'm also going to lean the whole body forward, so I had to extend the front of the neck to get him looking straight forward... next I'm going to put in to pins to the pulsars so they look like he's using them like lances.

Now all this takes a lot of drying time so I've also started work on another formation of Wraithguard, which will allow me to take the 3rd Guardian and Aspect troop that I've already painted.

Oh btw Thanks all the people that have offered me vibro cannons, I think I've got 6 coming :) that should be really cool. I'm surprised by the response.

My painting pile is really going down. I've almost hit the 3k mark and I should have 4k by the middle of next week by the latest. Revenants and Wraithguard are almost 1k on their own.

For those that missed these the first time around.

Well managed to get another unit of Wraithguard finished. Nothing really new with these guys, this is my 3rd formation.



One of the nice things about the new Eldar codex is that it gives you runes for all the units in it. so I put a Wraithguard rune on one of the Wraithguard, only one though as it is a real real pain to paint.

I also did a mailorder today to get another 12 wraithlords, I love wraithlords they are so quick to paint, I could have 750 points done in a couple of days, and they can be used as either a add on to my Wraithguard formations or as a formation in their own right so they give me some flexibility when chosing an army. I also ordered a pack of fireprisms, I'm gradually coming to the opinion that the photo in the catalogue is just really rubbish, I've seen lots of them looking really nice in the Epicomp. lastly I ordered bits for my supreme commander. Went with the Imp in the end I've got an idea which should work, but I'll keep it secret for now

Lastly I've started work on those revenants. This is a WIP picture. So far all I've done is spray them white and give them a watered down wash of Bleached bone, Skull White and 'ardcoat with a dash of Brown Ink. next step will be to highlight up all the bone with a mix of skull white and 'ardcoat.

the great thing about it was it was really easy to do. just a pair of clippers to the engines and a tiny bit of filing and greenstuff to repair the damage done while removing them.
