Definitely. Only three companies? How do you manage? I'd feel naked with less than five... though I've still not had a chance to run all ten at once.

Heh. Don't forget, chumps, that I have a steel legion russ company (not pictured), and 18 4+RA battle cannon-armed tanks with russ turrets featured in this very thread. So I do have 5+ companies if one is creative with the math

Ok, it's been over a year. But, painting opportunities in Afghanistan are bit limited so I don't feel so bad. I've been back for a while and was able to get most of the way through my Baran army. I took these guys to Dave's NEAT last month, and they did fairly well.

First up, the infantry. They are mostly Exodus Wars marcovians filled out with some OOP stuff. My only gripe with the EW stuff is there are too many sergeants. Pretty tedious painting these guys, but that's to be expected with a siege army I think:



The rank and file are pretty much all the same, so here's the company commanders:

How do you know he's a general? To paraphrase Monty Python, he's the only one that doesn't have sh*t all over him. That and the extra flag:

Nothin' like an optically-guided ICBM for all your titan-killer needs Thanks to Dave for the magnetizing. I wanted to make these into a bit of a diorama when they sat together on the board, so there's a command wire from the control station to each of the sponsons. Basically, these are old bombard hulls with 40K hunter-killer missiles and rails. Add some OOP bits for the sponsons, crew, and cabin, and there you have it.

For the missiles, I was going for a Soviet-era Scud theme. Olive drab with a yellow nose cone seemed to pop up the most.

I'm so damn creative. I was tired of looking at ratling snipers in a marching pose, so I made these out of plasticard, terrain bits, and an old t-shirt:




And a sample of my razor wire. Steel wire wrapped around a paintbrush and glued to balsa, then flocked. The paint doesn't match the infantry bases, but I wasn't going to hand paint all those trenches etc. with OOP GW paints, by hand, heh.

Great ideas and execution. I love it when units tell stories like your Deathstrikes. The snipers are also filled with character.
