Elsemore, I've not gotten a group shot of the IF army quite yet, Cal is a bit preoccupied for a bit, but once he gets back I'm sure I can twist his arm until he takes one :)

Aww come on now Tuff, I still haven't delved into Nids, Chaos, Orks, Tau, or Eldar. No need to put away the AMTL! Besides, in a couple more weeks I'll be done with my AMTL :)

I wouldn't say my painting makes a lot of people look bad; I rarely win any of the categories on Epicomp so I certainly can't be all that good at this! Besides, the photo is half the battle!

Today I finished up painting the spotter plane for the landing pad and gave it a coat of varnish. It'll need to cure for a few days before I can leave it permanently attached to the chassis so I don't pull off paint, but in the mean time here's a shot of the last ordinatus and a group shot of them. Next up macharius and more titans!

A careful comparison will see the adjusted windows on the quake cannon minorus. I aslo added a yellow and black striped cable to break up the monotony on the back but it's not visible in this shot.

for those interested, here's a shot of the spotter plane before getting a coat of paint:

Love it! Can you give us a parts breakdown on the spotter, at least those that aren't p-card?

Ithink I see an IG mortar shell for the canopy, and Eldar Plasma Grenades for the engine exhausts. Perhaps Space marine missile clips for the underwing stores? Can't ID the engines, though they look like a little bit of IG tank accessory heavy stubber, or maybe the pintile mounts?

I hope my minoris will be half that good!

Thanks, to be honest though I'm not entirely sure what all bits Xeones used for those exhaust nozels. I do know the engines are the fronts of 40k Kroot rifles and the under wing pods are bits off of an ork gun clip of some kind. The exhaust though I've got no clue as I was painting up the other minorus while Xeones was clipping away to build the plane. :) The canopy does look similar to a mortar shell so I'd go with that.

Ah, thanks! I'm 95% sure the exhaust are the plasma grenades that come with the Eldar Guardians, cut down and degemmed.

Thanks guys! I'm almost thinking I should have added a bit of rod to the front of the engines to provide a bit more of an intake though. Ah well, too late for that :)

Thanks. After looking everything over last night and fiddling with the photos, I decided the intakes really did need just a bit more so I added in the little silver cowl to the front. Has the added benefit of fixing my slight offset drilling and makes the rectangle piece look more engine covering than the odd bit it was before.

Thanks! It is most definitely a freehand aquila on there. I've had plenty of practice with that symbol going back to one of the first stands of IG infantry I painted.
