Yep, your Sabre looks real good, WMN ! Glad to see that between you and me ... we've given these troops ideas about what to do with all those extra Mk.1(P) Rhinos !  :D

I assume you meant Swallow in The Flight of the Eisenstein?  If so I just got it so don't spoil it for me :).  I've still got the Eisenhorn and books to get through before i start it.

WN where did the idea for the Sabre come from fluff wise?  I like the armor plates, are they just plasticard with your rivet technique on them?

DS is right. My own association with them is more recent as I heard about them through NetEpic originally. I don't think it was untill L4 posted his versions that I ever saw any pics though. I think the actual armament has changed a bit over time. Originally I think it was a dedicated tank destroyer but IIRC in the recent Netepic versions the armament has currently changed to an Autocannon. (Perhaps turret mounted even? ??? )

And yes: The armor plates are just pieces of plasticard (Could be a bit taller BTW). The rivets are simply made from drops of thick paint and the aquila is the FW brass etched eagles - An absolutely brilliant buy if I may say so: I think I'll be getting some of the larger ones as well at some point.

Yes, the Sabre was a 40K conversion, that came out in the SM1 days. So I made an Epic conversion back then ... similar to WMNs's. And the original Sabre was armed with an autocannon. The article for the 40K version is in W/D 110 plus or minus.  On the Pre-Heresy SM link, I listed the "history" of the Sabre !  I'll see if I can find it ! :D   To continue to educate the masses !

Yeah, the NetEpic Sabre is supposed to have a turretted Autocannon on a Rhino chassis.  I used the E40K seated autconnon dude cut off under the gun shield and mounted on its' own circle base for mine....have to take a happy snap.

I haven't got around to painting my PDF yet....still working on the Earthshaker companies. ?I have painted one in a test scheme, but I can only get a cwappy photo...my camera needs direct sunlight to take macro shots properly.



I've made about half a dozen of these like this....I think I might leave the turret sides open for the others after looking at this. ? The crewman really needs a contrasting uniform, and still not sure I'll stick with Codex Grey for the PDF armour.
