i know i know, it's just that with machines "looks cool" and "looks like it will work" is pretty much the same thing to me. like L4 and camo, too many engineering classes maybe ? i think he looks awsome JL dont get me wrong, he looks like he could walk, i.e. he looks great. :agree:

Point taken :) It is of course a balance issue: Sometimes what is realistic isn't always what is most fun to paint or look at. I still remember making a F-117 years ago and thinking "Meh... what that really all?". Modern warships with all the weapon systems hid away inside the hull just aren't as much fun to look at as a WW2 Battleship (IMO) and the list goes on. From a modelling perspective it is just more fun to have exposed parts that you can paint with different colors to bring life to the model, rather than cover everything in armor plates and giving it a uniform paint job all over. Hw much is too much is a matter of personal taste of course

I think it's come along quite nicely, but with all the weapons added in and the armor plating on, I think the waist needs to be thicker to fill out the hulking substantial feel the rest of the model has. He kind of looks like he's been wearing a corset to get one of those vogue 19th century wasp waists.

I like the Quack. :agree:

The exposed munitions are very 40K.  If you cover them at all, I'd just go with some frontal armor so you can see the rest from the rear/side.

One thing that strikes me as off is the tiny recoil dampners.  I'd either stick more in or enlarge the ones presently on the gun.

Garage Missile Launcher

I just wanted to say that I approve strongly of this name.

about those dampers    you kinda limited the travel of the recoil when you put the breach in didnt you ? perhaps enlarging them and moving them forward a touch ? sorry, it's easy to be picky when i don't have to change the drawings myself, i'll think it looks great and enjoy modeling it either way. :)

I think it has plenty of recoil:
This image shows the barrel compressing under firing conditions without obstructing the breach.

Looking great... The head reduction works wonders too.
Umm, could the drum feed be off to the side perhaps? With enough armour plating to make it look really mean too :)

I'm going to have to say 3 too... I don't like magnetizing things and I'll have to have an artillery-lord, and a plasma-lord and a standard set up... Hmm, maybe you'll accept my firstborn as payment?

Any chance you make a set of chaos accessories to go with it?
Such as some hooks and thorns, or a new head ?

The non-ordered variant will be hand-sculpted onto a cast, with all sorts of interesting evil gubbinz and spiky bits.

I'll see if I can wangle a side-mounted magazine, but I'll have to figure making it fit so that the weapon can be used on both arms.

Hmm... You don't have to push yourself on my behalf...
I just like the look of the weapon feed being off centre.

There are two different options that I'm considering, first is put the magazine as shown in the pic below, though this means the gun has to be symetric across a horizontal plain so that it can be mounted on either arm.
Second is to have a seperate ammo feed that can be attached on either side of the weapon during construction - I've not yet figured how this would work.
