Er does anyone know why this topic is always appearing at the top of the 2nd page in New Posts and not cronologically?

That's odd. It's showing up in chronological order for me.

Warmaster, I normally try & wait to see a finished product before passing comment, but you've forced me to break my habit with this one - that Imperator is truly superb. And that's coming from a painter who doens't like titans ;)

Awesome job - I look forward very much to seeing it completed (and based?)

Lol :D Thanks Tuff. Phew this is putting quite some pressure on me for doing a good job with the rest :p

I'm pretty sure I will do the base. I've found that old credit cards (well not really credit cards; just old plastic cards of various types) make perfect Imperator titan bases. They're ust the right size: Flat enough to be discrete and still stiff enough to hold teir shape. I used those for my CAligula conversion too. Compare to my other Imperators that models is extremely stable.

Speaking of bases I've spray undercoated the Zeppelin and painted up the base. Not the most imaginative base I've ever done: I needed soething stable so I've just added a huge styrofoam rock on the middle. It is stable though and that's the main thing.
The Flak GUns for the sides have yet to arrive. I do hope Andy remembered to throw them in the remaining stuff he needed to send me. Buying 3 Flak batteries at ?10 each is going to hurt - especailly because I don't really need the actual gun emplacements!

Hmmm... I'm in a bit of a dilemma. The rest of the stuff from Fanatic arrived today. However it seems  (As usual when dealing with Mail order) that some stuff got mispaced or even missing. Iof the Broodlord bodies I asked for I got broodlord legs. Not a biggie though  as I wasn't sure I really wanted to use them anyway. The dilemma is this: A month ago I got most of the prize from the Titan article competition. A few bitz were missing but I got a note from Andy that these were on back order and would be sent along with the Tyranid bitz I had asked for as compensation for the shipping of the Chaos infantry. More precisely these were the 3 blisters of Siege Artillery I need to finish the Zeppelin. Also missing from the batch were two steam Gargants (I had asked for 3 - hey,I had 3000 points to spend and the formation is just 500)

My question is this: Is it being too greedy asking for these missing parts? They were part of the agreement after all, and it is not really my fault that the Feral Ork army has such a horrible ?/point ratio. On the other hand I do feel that I got plenty of stuff and more importantly all of this has been free - heck I even got a complete Carnifex when all I asked for was the weapons spure.
Having an agreement is one thing but complaining about recieving free stuff is another. Hmmmm.... ???

Chap, in no way is mentioning that the freebies you were promised haven't arrived unjustified :).

If you don't ask, you don't get ;).

BTW did your steam Gargant have a gun? Mine didn't so they sent me another one...... that didn't have a gun..... so they sent me a third it didn't have a gun either..... I decided that phoning them again was taking the piss.

My Steam Gargant does seem to have all the parts as far as I can tell. One Mega Choppa, one arm gun and one Belly gun.
If I do get the last gargants I can send you some extra guns: I was going to build them with alternative weapon outfits anyway.

But yeah: Sometimes you just don't want to keep on complaining: I had a problem with some miscast FW Stormswords: the 3rd time they sent me faulty models I just didn't want to bother anymore. I knew that if it was me on the other end of the line I whould be sure the customer was trying to scam me.

On the plus side thats 2 free steam gargants for the expense of a converted gun...

Hehe :D True!

Although I personally hate this proverb there's some truth to the old saying: "Smile at the world, and the world smiles at you". If you just ask nicely, people are usually very helpful and generous. (Provided you make sure you ask the right kind of people of course :D )  :)
