Quote (the_fifth_horseman @ 02 Nov. 2005 (16:36)) | Got Dawn of War - mortified at the English translation, though, but also - finally - nailed two games I wanted to get for a long time, both at a budget price (approximately 3 GBP or 5 USD each) - Planescape: Torment and Fallout Tactics. Now I have to find a way to prevent myself from palying one or other the whole time. | Planescape: simply one of the best games of all time in my opinion; a fantastic (and incredibly detailed and twisted) story, hour upon hour of play time, superb characters, worlds and monsters; genius.
Let me know how you get on and if you get stuck!
I've just bought the full DVD set of LOTR exxtended editions; only ?26 from Amazon; an absolute steal... plenty of extras to model and paint to!

I dont usually post to this thread, as I'm painting far toomuch stuff, but I've Been painting some Epic Tau on commission so thought they might be of interest to a few of you guys
Pics can be seen HERE - I'll be posting more of the force before its sent next week - hopefully on Monday!
For my own collections, I've also been busy painting up some more of my 15mm Soviet army for FoW. Painting had ceased onthem completely over the summer, but I'm determined to have them all painted within a year of thier purchase, which means all bar two AA units need to be done by Christmas!
I love a deadline

Hi,
Glued 90% of the stakes around my BB pitch last night, and today I tapped in all of the pin nails to mark the pitch lines (that's 432 nails in total! probably drove my neighbours mad! hehe).
I also rummaged through my bits box and built 10 BB skellies for my Undead team. WFB skellies with Chaos marauder pads, etc.
Tomorrow I'll get a final dowel to complete the pitch border, and some sand for the next stage.
Cheers, Freshmetal

GHQ makes some good stuff that has potential for Epic ! Their Mujahadeen would make good Cultist !

Great work on the stadium Fresh, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished article!
Here is the Necro piece I posted last week, with its coat of paint. I might add some more markings sometime, as the tank has some large areas which look a little plain. I was pleased with the rusty effect I got, which was a mixture of the old Flesh wash and new Flesh Ink, thinned and sponged about.
Sorry for the abysmal pics, will snap some better ones (and some of more of my Necro stuff) this weekend.

Hi,
Nice terrain Stormy. I really must make something for my necro peeps.
I've also just noticed that on the GW UK site, they've swapped the specialist games and online store buttons around so that SG doesn't even have a proper button anymore. It's resigned to the text link button.
Cheers, Freshmetal

Great work as usual all round guys. Very nice weathered rusty look on the scenics 'Seer - looks like you've got the effect down to a T!
just finished all the basic work on a Tau Manta for my current customer( pic attached) Darn, these things take a long time to paint....
yes, its incredibly blue again, but I just follow the customers orders

Hi,
Can't say that I would choose that colour scheme, but it's very nicely painted all the same. Good work Tuff.
I've done all I can to the pitch before I sand and paint it, with the exception of one dugout and the central podium, which need another dowel cut to have enough stakes to border them.

I'm pleased with it so far. I think the painting stage will be the make-or-break time, so I'm not going to rush it.
Cheers, Freshmetal

I agree FM. It is a really nice piece of work so far. I've only just finished my cityfight centerpiece and the painting stage took a long time but was well worth the extra effort in the end.
I've been working some more on the IG infantry. Today I painteed guns, faces and hands on all 70 stands untill I went cross eyed... Well next is adding a black wash to the guns + painting bags and other equipment. The part which I really dread is when it is time to sand and paint the bases...
Cheers!
