They are listed as: RF-8 & NKL-26 Aerosans.

Beyond that, I have little info for you. Sorry.

Did you know GHQ makes both versions of Karl in 1/285 scale? See here for a ?pic. ?

Thanks, went to look at them. Nice looking minis.

But while I was there, my eye caught this and I think it just screams for conversions....

They certainly do!  Especially for a Valhallan Regiment!

Great link Mojarn!
Do you know how big these models are? I'm very tempted to get some.

Cheers

Unfortunately I don't know but as the munitions tanks are Pz IVs, judging from the pics the big guns are about 3 times the length of a pz IV, which in turn is about the size of a Mk2 Predator, the one with the blocky turret you have in your Nurgle army.

This, however is just a rough estimate.

Thanks.
That's a pretty good size... Thingh is that I don't want it to look too skinny next to a E40k era Bombard...

Cheers! :)

As they are realistic in scale, they will naturally tend to look skinny next to the chunkier GW style.

But that just gives you an excuse to bulk it out a little an make it a bit less Germanic and a bit more Imperial!  I stuck a pair of 40k scale Aquillas on the side of my SP Mortar to help with this and they look good (no, no pics available at the moment, sorry!)

Good idea. I wonder how many pieces the models come in. If the tracks and chassis are in seperate parts similar to the E40k imperial superheavies it should be quite easy to bulk out. The gun itself looks about the same size as a Basilisk gun so I suppose that could use some heavier tubing as well.

Cheers! :)

Soviet winter vehicles.

Yep. Used in wide open spaces like on ice, for example. Finns had vehicles like that, too, and used captured Soviet ones (surprise...).

Nicey d/wheel and defiler, WMN. Maybe you could make some extra ones and sell to GW to use as master models? That would be AN improvement in their range...

Last week was very hectic, with us finalising the move from the old flat to the current house. Barely any time to paint or convert, but I managed to get on with what I had.

Bought a new HDD and a HDD socket (I think that's what it is called in English), so I'll be able to copy data from the office HDD without opening up the machine. Considering to buy some extra RAM as well.

Got Dawn of War - mortified at the English translation, though, but also - finally - nailed two games I wanted to get for a long time, both at a budget price (approximately 3 GBP or 5 USD each) - Planescape: Torment and Fallout Tactics. Now I have to find a way to prevent myself from palying one or other the whole time.

Finally got a cellphone. This will come in handy, but I need to work on some more suitable wallpaper and ringtone for it.

With all the good that happened, some bad also did - altough I got a new pair of glasses instead of the one that for last year I've been holding together with glue and wire, the new pair is all wrong. Two hours after putting them on I wanted to gouge my eyes out, because they began to hurt so much. So I'm back to the glue-and-wire ones.  :/

Also made some purchases for converting purposes -replacement files, some 0,5 mm drills that will actually sit right in the pin vice, plus a set of tweezers.

Converting-wise, I've assembled the model for Malachai (Techmarine for my Dark Angels), and the conversion is holding together pretty good by now. Also began working on a second Raven Knight, carrying a Meltagun.
I started painting another Celestian yesterday, we'll see how soon I get her finished, though. If the last one is any indication, then this won't be anywhere soon...

And, finally, I have at last put together a roster for the Raven Knights that I am satisfied with.

'Too weedy' means too skinny/small.  The height's about right, but they're just not bulky enough to look right.  :sigh:

Back to the drawing board.  Maybe those really nice Infinity Panoceanic Armored Cav suits can be made to work...
