Poo. I've just been sorting out gold paint for epic minis meself. Which brand is giving you trouble?

I have a secret theory that the vulcanic rise in NMM techniques was started because metallic paint really doesn't photo so well; it looks so much better irl.

Not that some of the nmm I've seen isn't beautiful, but it's not, imo, inherently better looking irl than real metals.

I have to say I've never tried NMM, but the thought of trying it on 6mm infantry gives me the willies.

I was going to use VMC bronze, myself, plus Ral Partha's old gold. I might piggyback on that airbrush paint tip if they turn out too coarse. Looks like VMA gold isn't too different.

Wouldn't mind a set of those Tamiya brachiosaurs myself. They still hold up pretty well after... how many decades of production?

Yeah I know I've suggested airbrush paints several time before. In addition the use of testots dullvoat makes a huge difference of looking super shiny. Brush on is better than spray imo
