That's just a Brit talking from personal perspective since EpicUK events are generally in some form of dark dungeon without proper lighting and if Apoc is to be believed, thrush flooring. They have to overdo anything in order to tell what it is ;)

But yeah I think you could from your consistent super awesome to absolute amazeballz with that extra bit.

I added some Elf Flesh highlights to the orange, Blue Horror to the black and Elven Gray to the weapons, and I'm not convinced the photos show any of them… I've got a few hours tonight to paint, I'll see how I like them then and decide if I want to go further still. The other two tanks are progressing as well, I finished up everything on them except for their hulls and weapons. I'll start in on those tonight too.

That looks superb.

Thanks currently fighting with my Assault Rams to get a good mounting. I figured you've got the technique down here.

Random thought: how about making those little bumps on the cannon mounts jewels? Always felt they've got the bling when they come to a fight :)

One thing that's puzzling me: what's going on with this panel (circled in red on the attached image)? Looks odd to me.

I'm putting down a transfer I'm printing out there, Axel. It's a "negative", a clear Lugganath symbol outlined in black. The clear will show the orange through it, and I'll just paint up to the black outline. That way, I don't have to print out orange and worry about color matching it and putting it over black paint (transfers are never fully opaque).

It's a lot of gems Jimmy, I think I'm chalking that one up to being lazy and wanting to finish them. Besides, if I do those then you're just going to ask why I can't paint the rest of the bumps as gems.

Aah, I see. That makes sense. Clever.

I've been known to have a good idea every once in a while.

I'm calling the Scorpions done, painting-wise. I hit them with one more highlight on each color and finished up the other two tanks this past week. If I have time this weekend I hope to hit them with a glosscote so I can put the transfers on, and then dullcote them and put the tufts on the bases. Next up are the Cobras, which I'm starting on tonight.

These are my objectives that I'm currently battling gaps on. Filling the gaps smoothly has been a bit of a challenge.

Finally, completely un-Eldar related, I built a Lunar-class Crusier at lunch. I picked it up at Adepticon's bitz trading. Anyone know of a paint scheme for Battlefleet Armageddon?

BF Armegeddon is a brownish yellowish hull with red prows. The Armegeddon battleship that was on the GW product page for that model was painted as that fleet. Vaaish Horizon has an amazeballz fleet of these iirc

Edit: good discussion on painting BFA
