Time to add the Marines! This was the first EA army I painted (well, ignoring those armies of the 90s). Fairly basic with just basecoat, wash, drybrush). The army comes in around 10k points like the other ones and is classified "Complete" expect a handful of missing vehicles and one sniper base (very low priority). As always, I have tried to go for everything in the book with reasonable multiples of core choices.

Supreme Commander with a Rhino or Razorback transport option.

First Company consisting of two Terminator detachments with optional Commander, Chaplain, Dreadnoughts and some Land Raiders to move them around if needed.

Second Company is a normal Battle Company with Assault, Tactical and Devastator Detachment. All Tacticals have an optional Commander and Librarian while the Assault Marines have an optional Commander.

Third Company is another Battle Company. The only difference is the optional Chaplain for the Assault Marines instead of a Commander.

Fourth Company is yet another Battle Company with optional Librarian for the Assault Marines, Commander for the Devastators, and Commander or Chaplain for the Tacticals.

Fifth Company is a Tactical Company with three Tactical Detachments, each with an optional Commander and a mix of optional Chaplain, Librarian and "2 in Command" (the guy with the flag).

At this point I stopped painting Tactical detachments so there is no 6th to 9th Company. Adding another dozen Tactical detachments didn't seem like a good use of my time...

Tenth Company are the scouts with two Scout Detachments with optional Commander. I have converted but not yet painted an optional Sniper base (that's the missing base referenced above). Also part of 10th Company are some Land Speeder and some Bikers with a full spread of command options. I am still looking for a handful more bikes to bring the unit to two full detachments with optional leaders.

Heavy Transports: A dozen Razorbacks and 8 Land Raider can be attached to various formations for heavier transportation.

Artillery: I have 10 Whirlwinds. As a low priority item I am looking for two more of this plastic type to make a full three detachments.

Tanks: A detachment each of both Predator types and some Vindicators.

Anti Air: I converted 6 Hunter based on old Whirlwind launchers mounted forward (like MRLs). There are also two old Predators. If I find two more old ones to match I will finish them up as a full unit. Otherwise they might go over to Chaos :)

Aircraft: Three Thunderhawks in various states of landing. The flying stands are magnetized so the flying models can be removed and placed on the group.

Objectives: A rader station on a hill, a bunker and a missile silo in the act of firing.

Are these a canon chapter (DA?) or do they just have dark green livery because it looks cool?

Again, awesome work. Love the character and dynamism you are able to get into 6mm figs. A+!

As an aside, I have some of the plastic Whirlwinds, but they've got a terrible priming job (not mine) on them. Kind of grainy texture on the surface. You interested?

I love's da Orks.  and nows i haves some idea's on how do do sum stuff wit 'em.

i probably have about 20k in orks or more(probably alot more than 20k) but only about half are painted. Helge you have give me some great idea's for my unfinished Bad moons, dethskulls and goffs.  My current Evil suns army is based on a lot on blits mobs, kult of speeds and a rock solid infantry arm rinding in old and new battleforts.

great work, and thanks for the "paint recipe's".  i'll enjoy messing with those colors.

A few more progress shots for the Chaos army. As mentioned earlier, I finished the Nurgle Deathwheel and Land Raider.

I also completed the Iron Warrior Deathwheel and Predators.

I won't photograph the Iron Warrior retinues until I have their Nashorns painted up. They arrived today (thanks Otterman!) so they should be done in the next few days, spray painting weather permitting.
cheers
Helge

I photographed the Imperial Guard army. Like the Marines, these are mostly complete with only a few items to round out. Like all the armies, the current weather prohibits dullcoating so some of the areas are still shiny.

Supreme Commander and Recon: I use this model as the Supreme Commander if the Mechanized Company is a Regimental HQ. Salamanders currently don't have any rules so they are just for looks.

Mechanized Company: I am missing a Chimera so I guess at some point I will have to bite the bullet and buy another pack from FW. The infantry is organized in platoons, each led by a Lieutnant. The Supreme Commander and optional Commissar complete the unit.

The Mechanized Company is supported by a detachment of Ogryns in Assault Carriers (i.e. old edition Gorgons - I thought they looked more suitable to carry big Ogryns. The FW Chimera is far to small to hold even one Ogryn model...).

A Fire Support detachment is also available including Chimeras. These ones are the old E40k variant. As with my Chaos force I tried to "code" the transports in a mixed formation and I thought that the heavier Chimeras would look suitable as heavy weapon carriers.

A Griffon battery provides a bit of mobile artillery.

Infantry Company: Same command options as the HQ.

Some Ratlings provide sniper support.

Recon Company: A bunch of Rough Rider with an optional Commissar model.

A few Sentinels with optional Commissar add more recon ability.
