Painted up my Scorpion and Stormserpent I won in the last Epicomp last night, and based them this morning; lovely sculpts, and I was very pleased with the paintjobs too, pictures will come along soon!

I am a relative newcomer to Space Hulk and it certainly is a great game. I like the idea of a travel edition, though for me there are two problems.
1. I don't have enough termies(I know I only need ten, but my Epic Space Marines are desperate...)
2. I have no Epic Genestealers...

Yep, been years for me too ! I remember getting a copy at the hobby shop outside of Ft. Benning, Ga. One of my buddies, I served with in the ROK, was assigned there and we'd play it on the floor of my apartment. We had a great time ! And we knew about close combat !

I finished painting that Chick from Hell who's been hanging around the painting desk for last several months. Taking the opportunity, I also made a very specific mixture of inks and paints (trace amount of Black Ink, about 10 times that of Red Ink, some Blood Red and a lot of Scab Red, all watered down heavily), which I used to apply a wash/glaze to the previous CfH models. They look 10x better, as the wash has deepened the red substantially. Now the tint is more like spilled blood - which is that much better for Dark Eldar. I also used the very same mix to add blood splatters on their weapons. Yow! They sure look mean now...
Some extra work on the Raven Knight. I cranked out two 400 pt (40k in 40 minutes) Raven Knight rosters, a total of 10 miniatures required (5 RK as the basic Troop choice + 4 as the Elite or 1 Chaplain for HQ).
Further work on Bloodrayne: Improved has resulted in a bit of progress - not a lot, but better then nothing.

Well on Saturday I glued together some WFB Black Orcs and Big Uns with additional hand weapon. And yesterday I undercoated some more Warmachine jacks and finished converting some WFB Chaos Marauders with great weapons (I used the old Chaos Warrior halberds and snipped off the pointy bit so hefty menacing looking double handed axe).
And last night sorted through my Epic Chaos stuff to count up what I had and what I still needed to make valid formations under latest L&TD list.
Cheers
James

Hi!
The minis in second edition space hulk are much, much better than those of first edition, but I like the first edition rules more.

Primarch | Agreed on both accounts, P.
