I would.

hotwire = extreme optimism :)
add me to the list of people who would love to have one,  but i doubt anyone would ever let you cut it up to try to cast it.

That's why my hypothetical involved paying Vermis to make one.

Just for purposes of illumination, what would Vermis want to make another one? $20 US? $40? $120? $240? $500?

His first post said it required 16 hours to make this one. A second would take less than that, due to learning curve. It might go faster or slower, knowing that the end result has to be cut for casting.

So, let's guess 12 hours. Even a pathetic $10 an hour wage would be $120, which is whopping expensive for a single 7mm figure, even to a dedicated gamer like me.

And how many of these would each of us want, hypothetically speaking? If the situation were reversed, I would buy 3 at $5 each, total $15. There would have to be 9 more of me before this project broke even.

Then again, perhaps I'm being pessimistic. Maybe another sculptor could make something for me to cast to our community, just for trading purposes.

After all, I whomped up a Goliath for Dwarf Supreme.

I'd be willing to pay for one of those as I'm planning to do an AMTL army (and not just because I'm a pewter addict  )

Holy moley. :O

I... um...

First things first.  Hotwire: no more coffee.

Thanks all.  It's a real confidence-builder.

Otterman's right.  This wasn't intended to be cast, so I did what I liked (or could) with it.  I certainly wouldn't mind having another go to come up with a more castable version; but as you know I'm still a noob at sculpting, and I'm not sure how well I could do it.

As for payment... I didn't find out too much a few months ago, when I was looking into that area.  And I think I forgot most of it.

And I'm just a noob at casting, but that's apparently good enough for some people.

So, name your price and let's see what happens.

Orton and I would be interested in 10-20 for uor respective Guard and AMTL armies. If you are reluctent to cut one up due to possible damage, ZAP123 mentioned to me he picked up some sort of microblade off a Japanese hobby site that cuts through anything. Drop him a line to get the details.

Cheers
CAL
