Avoid using the flash on the camera.
If necessary put the camera on something (tripod is best, books will do). Turn the flash off. Instead of using the shutter put the camera on timer.
The flash is washing out the colours.

You might want to check out Jimbo's articles on picture taking at his site.
Since I use the tips my pictures are so much better.

Well, its been a little whiel now since i posted ont his thread - pictures coming up this week: new tactical det, landspeeder det, some objectives, and if they get finished, another warhound and some word bearers.....

Plans have goone all out of the window - my camera just doesn't seem to wan tto ake a decent shot!
This is a shame because since last pictures i have completed the following:
mkvi tactical det
landspeeder det
two objectives
warhound
land raider det
all for my Cromson Fists
and for the new and upcoming word bearers:
retinue
havocs
6 converted rhinos
and working on a demon prince based on a WFB imp fmailiar (should look quite fun!)
and also been playing wiht milliput and am almost to start building my big project (as everyone seems to have one on the go i thought it only apporpriate!), however, i want to wait till i can get a decent 'before' picture prior to undercoatng!

WMN - stil trying to think of a colour scheme for the termites - i want them Crimson Fists but not sure about the carriers! - any ideas?
