Indeed, within historical gaming painting services i am only aware of 1 company that charges less.
Glad to see me prices are seen as very competative.

And like other posters my work is in addition to my regular job so it is not essential to paint till my hands bleed to pay the bills. (or i would go back to 25mm painting)

Looking at Tuffskulls Imperial Guard has made me all nostalgic.

============================================

Here is a proposal:

Some one send me a strip of Epic miniatures and i will paint them FOC and send them back
(Whats in it for me? I will use the photos on my website and it saves me the hassle of going into GW to buy them)

==========================================

this offer is open to 2 people, so please say if you intend to post me a strip so others know not to

Cheers

I voted for it depends on cost.....
.....but also on quality.

Like many people here I quite enjoy figure painting- I can find it quite therapeutic if I have the spare time and my eyes are not too knackered from work. However since my promotion at work I hardly have any free time- come the evenings I just want to flick through the sports pages of newspaper and watch TV for a hour or two.

So if I get the option of turning some of my unpainted lead/resin/plastic into a fully finished usable army, then depending on cost I will often go for it.

I was fortunate enough to ask Tuffskull to paint up a Valhallan IG army a couple of years back. It has probably only seen the Epic battlefield half a dozen times but I still regard it as well worth it because of the quality of his painting.

I just need to decide on a Titan Legio whose colour scheme would match/contrast the Valhallans.

Cheers

James

Nope ... Never Ever would I have someone paint my models ... What's the point, IMO ?! ???  I know they are game pieces, but I get a certain amount of satisfaction and enjoyment out of doing it myself. Even when we had time to game (and we don't now), we always painted our own. And with all my DRM, E/W and remaining G/W-F/W Epic ... I better hope I live a long, long, long time ! :laugh:

You shouldn't have anything to worry about L4.  It's a well known fact that miniature wargamers can't die until their last miniature is painted.    Unless of course the pile of boxes falls on top of them.

I paint 99% of my Minis, though I have been known to have a friend (who is a brilliant painter) do the odd Commander figure for me. ?

That is a rarity though - I paint and model far more than I play, which as has been said here can be done when where and how long as it suits me. ?

And discussing panting and modelling techniques consitiutes more than half my e-chats with e-buddies I suppose. ?If I didnt do it myself, there would be less to talk about!

I got a great kick out of looking at my recently finished Vietnam figs and thinking "WoW, I did that! ?Maybe after 20yrs practice I'm only half as crap as I used to be!" ?:p ? ?:D

Tas

PS Of course, there are some outstanding painters out there.  Have a look at this Gallery: http://leafigs.homestead.com/frontpage.html

Thanks- you just needed to say "UK"!!
:)
What armies would you be interested in painting? i.e. will you initially stick to Imperial Guard as closest to historicals you've painted in past?

I could be interested in sending you a test strip with view to potential commission painting.

Thanks

James
