After much traveling and all manner of craziness, I'm back and I finished up the first 9 converted forgeworld chimeras from my rush order. Next on the plate are some IF vehicles for Cal.

Looking very nice mate, so what is on the cards next for the Fists?

Cheers

Your subtle weathering & apparent realism continues to impress - keep it up!

Thanks! I think anti air and artillery is in order next for the fists.

This week was a fun week, I've decided that paining both IG and Marines at the same time makes it easier to do a good number of vehicles and keep it fresh. So here are the results, my first 3 FW hydras and 4 whirlwinds for Cal's IF.

How did you paint those yellow sods?

TRC: white undercoat, sunburst yellow, sepia wash, selective delvan mud washes, picked out details in black and highlighted with gray and white, painted on text and fist symbols, weathered with boltgun and few touches of bright silver, used graveyard earth on the tracks followed by scorched brown for muddy appearance.

A new week and a new project. This finishes up my last 3 hydras for my IG forces giving them two full flak batteries. I've also finished up the first 4 razorbacks for Cal's IF which leads me to next weeks order of business and giving the IF army some AA cover and the last of their rhinos before hopefully taking a break to complete the last three baneblades for IG leaving them with only 9 more chimeras until they are finished.

Enjoy.

Fantastic, as ever.

I've been going back through this thread, and it's just amazing. Beautiful models.

Vaaish,

Mate, looking very cool. I like the additional Chapter markings. My PM mail box must have not replied last time. I did reply, I will try again.

Cheers
A

Great work,
The weathering adds so much realism to the models, and really gives the sense of scale.  For example on the terminators, I like how you kept the weathering mainly around the legs.

As usual, your armies have an excellent color ballance as a whole, and this is usually what I like best about your works.

Keep it up,
CF

Thanks, perhaps one day I'll aspire to your free hand work :)

Well it's the end of another week and the Imperial Fist motor pool continues to grow. The rhinos are finally complete as are the first bit of AA support to keep them from being pounded by enemy aircraft. Despite having quite a few more vehicles to go, I think that it's time to take a break from them and hit up more of the specialty troops seeing I have 28 stands of infantry to go and this should drop them to at least 20 :)

After that I'll be moving back to IG to finish up my last three baneblades before the advent of yet another detachment of Whirlwinds and a pack of razorbacks.
