The Malanthrope as I understand it is sort of a "super-ravener".


Minor point, but the Trygon is technically a super-Ravenor (tunnels). Clive (as the Malanthrope will always now be called!  :cool: ) is a collector beast, arriving after the main battle and picking up the victims (think about the tripods in the newer War of the Worlds).

Well the Ravener is a Ripper and the Trygon is a Trygon. There's no 40k Ravener in there (Although I did consider using one instead of scratch building it. In the end I decided that the 40k Ravener was too big for a Trygon Proxy...although my own version is probably still slightly too big :D)

However if you don't want to go to E-bay I think 40k Raveners are excellent Trygon proxies if you can live with the scale creep :;):

In this pics I've test painted a RAvener as well as a lictor. It is annoying but I gotta admit that I greatly prefer this paint scheme to the older one I used on the Biovore and Termagant stand... Although the old one is really easy to do, the newer one just looks soo much better...

Wow, that is surprising...I expected it to be quite a lot larger than the old Trygon.  It is pretty impressive for the size!

I think your new Tyranid scheme is very appealing, which is indeed annoying as I was planning on using a similar scheme to your Termagants myself :D

Here's some pids of the Bio titan:

Main body is a dominatrix with some small Carnifex scything talons and a pair of Zoanthrope "wings added. The body has been widened slightly with greenstuff and various Tyranid carapace bitz have been added. The hind legs had to be constructed from scratch using greenstuff and plasticard.

warmaster your dominatrix/biotitan is awsome, i have a couple of tho old lead hierophants, but im totally gonna rip off your  plans for my dominatrix when i build my army. (although mine will undoubtedly not look half as good).  
also i love the paint scheme , mind if i try my hand at stealing that too ? if anybody tells me they like it i promise i'll say "you should go online and see the guy i ripped off , HE can paint ! " :)

Sure. Here's a pic f what's been assembled so far. Still in the box is another Exocrine, another harridan and another trygon. Also thre's a WIP Vituperator and I haven't yet based my Gargoyles and Hormogaunts.
