Judging by this picture i guess that the arm weapons would look a bit small on the Large Robot?

We've done some theoretical size fitting ; those Laser Blasters there are about as long as Jonluke's Quake Cannon design, maybe even a couple of mm longer in Epic scale IIRC.

Found some measurements:

And a Warhound to Revenant size comparison:

That Gatling Blaster is 4.6cm long in Epic scale.
IIRC, Jonluke's Quake cannon is around 4.4cm long (JL will correct me if I'm wrong).

That Warhound is crouching.

Currently the Quake cannon is 44mm indeed. that means I can make it bigger and cooler!

- I have a large number of Black and White army cards from Space Marine. I'd assumed they were first edition, where'd they come from then? I was six when my brother started making me play these games, so can't remember much besides getting really upset when I lost, which was of course every time, but the titans were big like real toys, so always had a soft spot for them. And they're cool!

The quake on the model is just representative, it'll be modelled properly when the rest of the robot is sorted.

Without kneecaps perhabs the chin armour should extend ofer the tight armour in the same way as kneecap-less Space Marine legs?

That's exactly what I mean when I talked about Optimus Prime's armour!

Well played BL on a much more appropriate example!  :))

Space Marine is somewhat confusingly the name for both 1st and 2nd edition box sets.
The order is
1st edition
Adeptus Titanicus (with supplement Codex Titanicus which was both good and bad)

Space marine

2nd edition
Space marine (several supplements)
Titan Legions
3rd edition
Epic 40,000
4th edition
Today!

2ns edition had 'army cards' which have also been made for 4th edition, 1st edition had two types of cards. The first were for Titans - colour cards (or photocopies) with details of the titans.

Reavers were in the Codex Titanicus supplement and white dwarf.
Space marine had unit cards (featuring 5 infantry or 1 vehicle) and you used a regimental structure to build the army, from which you took detachments for battles.

Anyway - the MRL/TLD/PF wasn't the default fit, it was just the one that got pictured a lot and used in examples as it had barrage/AP/AT/CC so was a good example.

The Small and Large walking robots would come in a 'Standard Configuration' straight out of the kit, whilst the Medium Walking Robot would not (as the Standard Configuration for the Reaver is no longer legal according to the Warhammer 40,000 rules/background).

Who cares what the "standard" configuration is for 40k? Wouldn't it be better to include the weapons for the Reaver as it appears in the E:A rulebook for the benefit of players who don't field AMTL armies and thus won't be swapping weapons?

Agreed- it will be nice to have variant weapon configurations but the priority should be the basic EA rulebook configurations so new players can play then straight out of the box.

Cheers

James

To Real Chris:

Yeh, I've got all those cards, Titans and army cards, I thought the army cards were from Codex Titanicus, fair enough. wish I still had all the plastic kits from Adeptus Titanicus.

The shin armour - careful with spelling on this one as I've been referring to another section of armour near his head as "chin" armour - could be extended upwards to cover the gap, I'm considering possibilities at the mo.

Here's an eagle for the leg armour - wonky and not placed properly yet, but you get the idea:

But I will also model and include the iconic weapons fit of a modern Reaver Titan and use it in games with Counts-As (or WYSIWYG with AMTL points costings), because in the background, Battle Titans aren't even allowed to carry Scout class weapons on the arms anymore.

Again I ask, "Who cares?" Do you expect that many people to make the transition from Apoc to Epic? Are you planning on changing the AMTL list to reflect this?

I care, because I want my Epic models to look modern.

It's not just Apocalypse that has Titans with certain weapon limitations, it's also in the background of the game setting.

When (or if) Forgeworld make their Titan game, you can lay money on them following the modern weapon configuration rules from Warhammer 40,000.

I've said from the moment I was asked to work on the AMTL army list that it would remain backwards compatible with miniatures stuck together ten or fifteen years ago, whilst still allowing people to build modern configuration Titans too if they so desired, and that has not changed.

Ah ... my GOLDEN DAYs of Epic !  I stat'd many of my Titans using those cards.  With some modifications ... :))
