All of which means that I can now field a complete 3,000-point army:

Next will probably be some Whirlwinds, followed by some drop pods.

Very nice force, I like the mixture between old fan termies, fordgeworld and 40k sm ;)

The warhounds look super cool in that unique colour scheme ;)

Great looking force, as a tread head me thinks you are lacking in the tank department somewhat. ;)

Thanks, everyone.

You're not wrong.

To try and redress that fault, here's a Whirlwind detachment:

More Shapeways turrets. I wish I knew who designed the various Rhino conversion accessories on Shapeways. They're ever so good. I really like the way they combine both modern and old-school designs in a really nice, coherent way.

Next up will be drop pods and a Predator detachment, not necessarily in that order. Technically, I'm not sure that Whirlwinds fit the strict definition of a tank; they're armoured self-propelled rocket artillery. But Predators definitely count.

So, here they are, an assortment of drop pods:

These are, of course, Sisterhood Veritas DCs from Onslaught Miniatures rather than GW drop pods. I haven't used many proxies in putting together this army (there are lots of non-GW models, but I don't really think of forumware or Shapeways bits as proxies exactly), but (a) GW drop pod models are rare and expensive, (b) the designs aren't particularly iconic in the way that, for example, Rhinos are, and (c) these are excellent models, so overall I was quite happy to use these.

Predators coming up next!

OK, just for you, here's a Predator detachment:

Shapeways turrets and sponsons, as usual.

No more tanks for a little while, just APCs, as the next additions will be another battle company. After that, I'm not sure, but more tanks will definitely be along at some point.
