Just wow... You have mad 3D skills.. I hope to get that good someday. That concept just rocks! Awesome :)

One more thing.. There seems to be no visible print lines? Howdid you clean the models? The quality looks far better than frosted UD from shapeways..

Print lines usually only occur with surfaces angled close to 0 or 90 degrees to the build direction

There are multiple things you can do some playing together.
Obviously avoid surfaces angled close to 0 or 90 degrees to the build direction by not designing such shallow angles or by rotating the model so that angle relative to the build direction is different.
If it is an easy accessible surface, I can "massage" them away when cleaning the part. But I rarely do that.
I can change the exposure times, which can help, but has other drawbacks. But I rarely do that.
Primer helps.
Dark colors obscure details and print lines.
Don't enhance contrast by drybrushing, inking etc. in an area beset with print lines..
And of course don't care. Often you see the lines only in a Macro shot or when the models weapon is already poking in your eye, but will not realize the print lines at normal viewing distances.

Basically it's not machine related, but design/procedure related.

Late to the party, but this is some out of this world stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Long time, no see.
With holiday and the EEC preparations and life there was not much time to do some 3D printing.

Finally I managed to continue with the flyers for the Tinkerers - Space Knight - Steam Punkies or whatever.

For the Thunderbolt I wanted something with a boat hull and wings like an early WW I plane. But it should also have something like turbines. In the end I decided on a steam machine that drives some impellers that look like turbines.

At first I did some colourful cockpits, but changed the too boring silver, The red and yellow was just too gaudy.

The Marauder started out as some kind of Zeppelin with pilot and gunner on top. It looked very orky - no picture.
I than changed to a more classic dirigible design. And that is what you see in the following pictures. Please note it's not final yet and the paint job was very quick even for my standards.
The model is meant to check proportions, what parts will break easily and whether it creates the image I wanted it to create. I.e. the Lascannon on top of the ballon has it's barrels clipped - forgot to place a support. Also one of the side struts broke.
Many parts are hard to paint, it might be a good idea to break the model up and print it in separate pieces to be glued together after painting.
I wanted to show that I'm alive and the printer is well, so it's WIP for a change.

Hello long time, no see.
Finally found some time to do some more models. After the Bikes and Attack Bikes for the Steam Punk Marines, I'm finally back with the Orks.
We're playing a League at the Club and I decided to use my Orks. At the beginning you enter three lists and before each game you can choose the list you want to use. This gives you the opportunity to use lists you normally wouldn't use in a league, because they are not universal enough. The lists are all made public at the start of the league, which adds a bit of "I think he will choose, because he thinks, I will choose ....".
One of my lists uses some Stompas and a Supa Stompa.
I had already designed some Stompas very early on, but the close combat Stompas and Supa Stompas were missing.
The CC Stompa is just like the Shooty Stompa, but replaces an Gun arm with a Chain Saw arm.
That's all Stompas and Supa Stompas I painted, more than I probably ever use.
Image
Here is a shot of Stompas, with some Bikes, Stormboyz and Waggons for scale.
Image
On the very right an ordinary Stompa. On the very left the first Supa Stompa. The idea was to make it the same as an ordinary Stompa, but 10% larger and to give it a belly gun for distinction. A friend suggested to replace the feet with tracks - I liked the idea and did so, but this ate some of the height advantage. I had planned to use an ordinary Stompa head, but when I put on a tank turret, just for laughs, I liked the effect, so this first design came about. The first design was just to get the body right, the arms were designed a tad later.
When I realised that the body will look to small, id resized it to be 20% larger. That led to the red Supa Stompa. The head is a blown up ordinary Stompa head, with two hatches instead of one.
I rated that size wise ok and designed the arms. I wanted a Zap arm and a CC arm. I like my earlier Zap design very much, so I only modified it's mount. That is the Zap on the first Stompa. For the larger Stompa I rescaled it and added a gunner. His position is a bit exposed, "but no risk, no Zap" as they say. I choose a hammer for CC, because it is simple and massive and so would be a good optical counterweight to the Zap gun. The hammer on the later Supa Stompas is a over-proportinally bigger than on the first one.
Very often I print at least two of each model, so I had a second body. I used an very early version of the Predator turret as head. This is a bit larger and higher than the current one, but fits well to the larger Supa Stompa body.
One of the design flaws is that the arms have not much freedom to use. An easy way to correct this, would be to mount each arm to it's own turret and have them rotate independently. That led to the Supa Stompa in the middle. It consists of a stack of rings, with an arm attached to each. The rings getting smaller, creating a distinct shape. The stacked rings would not work so well with the overlapping tiles, so I used more or less regular bolt on tiles. I had to try the idea to clear it from my head. In the end I like the other designs better. I could try to improve on the design, but I have already more Supa Stompas than I will ever need, so I prefer to move on to the next "needed" model and come back later when I do not have "anything better to design".
