no, i'm liking the missile paint job; keep it as is i'd say; makes a difference from the old "MISSELES ARE WHITE" stereotype!
Can you take me through how you do your dark red please mate?

Thanks! I was a little afraid that gray on top of blue-gray wasn't enough of a contrast but after looking up some reference for ICBM's there doesn't appear to be much variety in their coloring.

MOK: reds are very simple, basecoat black, paint dark flesh, highlight with blood red to taste. for more contrast, you could just used scorched brown as the base and highlight up to blood red.

Everything is top-notch, I wouldn't change the missiles if I were you.

busy week. My vengeance didn't get started due to my friend having the pot of paint I need for the undercoat but I did get a second objective finished for my IF army. Had an old raider missing a sponson so turned it into a wrecked one like everyone else :)

I also finished up another not for me Tac detachment.

Enjoy!

Wow!

Very inspirational. Great level of talent you have there!

Can you give some pointers on how you painted the little fists?

I'm currently painting up some brother crimson fists and haven't figured out a consistent method for painting the red fist logo on 6mm space marine shoulders.

How does your approach change for the shoulders to lets say a land raider? I think i even noticed some on the backs of your rhinos!

Again, good job.

The chapter symbols at this scale generally revolve around combining simple shapes to make more complex ones. For the fists symbol I use black ink and a 10/0 brush. Generally I start by painting two triangles to make an hourglass shape and then put 4 dots over the top to represent fingers. On the larger ones I try to be more detailed and paint it with the edge to the gauntlet and sometimes the thumb visible.

I finished up my final objective for the Imperial Fists army tonight. This being my last I wanted to make forward command bunker and not really having many bits to work from, I ended up building the entire thing from plasticard with a few oman bits I had lying around and some bfg/epic items. I'm pretty pleased with it.

Next up, finish up the last BFG grand cruiser that's sitting basecoated on my desk.

That is very impressive! I love the eagle and, well, the whole design really. It does make me sad to see a old turn-wheel base plate being used though.

then you will be happy to know I just traced the base instead of using the actual one :)

I am going to be quite cheeky here and state that maybe the marines should start making their armour out of the same stuff as the command bunker as it appears to not be as susceptible to weathering ....       :p
