All good points, and great discussion.  That's what makes it such a great alternate history campaign ! :D

Should we open a new thread for this alternate history discussion? Even though I love it I'm afraid that apart from Jimbo's original post it doesn't have much to do with modelling.  :;):

To take this thread back on topic...

Last night I finished off some more of my Forgeworld Ork Gunwagons, which I really like, again in the same browns as my other new Epic stuff.

I also drybrushed the metallic parts of my 40K scale Ork Stormboyz.

I also thought about how I was going to model and paint the new Grot Bomb Launcha I got at GamesDay.

It made me realise how useful my workbench feature my original Grot Bomb Launcha was going to be useful to remind how I painted it so I could apply the same (but slightly revised) procedure to this new model.

Hi,

Over on Talkbloodbowl.com, an mp3 file has been posted of a recording of JJ's seminar at this year's Gencon if anyone is interested.

HERE

It's quite an interesting listen (although there isn't much epic talk, and you have to put up with the fanboy chatter), but it kinda puts an official line on what was going on in SG and GW. It's about a month old, so it doesn't address the most recent release-schedule decisions, but it's relevant enough. Enjoy.

Other than that, over the "Epicomms Down" time, I decided to strip the base material off of my Crimson Fists and have been repainting them. Most of them are finished now and I'll hopefully be rebasing them this weekend.

Cheers,
Freshmetal

Hiya. Back up & running. I had pictures taken of a number of miniatures, but I didn't have the time to get them prepared for addding to my poor, neglected excuse for a site.

I have, however, prepared the pictures of the second Iron Angel. They are here

On Abandonia forums, I began a game called "Abandonia Apocalypse", you can see what it's about here

Oh, right... I've also coded a "soldier cloner" for this game, so that players can be easily restored after their "deaths". It works nicely, but the coding was a big headache at times.

I've been working some more on my cityfight boards. I decided to redo my entire river system while I was at it because I didn't like the way the current rusty red looked among the ruins.
Dug out my airbrush which hasn't been used for ages and sprayed everything various shades of dark brownish greenish. Later tonight I have given everything it's first coat of gloss varnish. Jeezz that stuff smells awfull! I've stuffed it away in the bathroom to dry but it still stinks all over the apartment! :p

Well, I had hoped to finish the 6 Rhinos & 4 Razorbacks which would have completed my Epic Iron Hands army, but my girlfriend has been quite poorly this week so I've spent a lot of time looking after her.

I've managed to squeeze in a teensy bit of painting, and have managed to do the bases (no joke, I've spent more time on painting the bases for each unit in this army than I have on the actual mins! :p ), so hopefully I'll get them finished by the weekend, and post some pictures of them here!

Hopefully! :D
