And there's my first Alpha Legion model - a dropship - large, and the only vessel of this size with warp capability, hence the long, exposed, Xana pattern warprails.
This beastie was a Tau transporter until the Alpha legion capture d it. The wreck was towed to Xana II, where the Dark Brotherhood converted it to a Chaos transporter suited to the secretive needs of the Alpha Legion. It has Tau, Chaos and Pirate markings; with the Alpha Legion Hydra being perversely the least visible! It can transport only troops, but the small interior is in reality a warpchamber, and can deliver a couple of hundred marines.  :devil:  :p

Sunny-side up, the two 'portals' at the wing tips contain the Warpchamber; the ex-BFG launchbays drop bomblets to soften opposition. The Warprails permit the beastie to materialize VERY close to its drop zone.

Any idea what the hull is, by the way? Should be easy by now.

Now I know the Alpha Legion don;t consort with demons, but these chaps where the only volunteers at hand to demonstrate the size of the Slayt.

Come to think of it, I almost used a clothes iron for a Tau mega-heavy skimmer once. Too big to store....
