Nice mate, very cool indeed, it's tempting to go oldmschool and do,up a legion list based on thenSM battalion concept.

Cheers

Thanks man.

So far this is my first House devine knight the color scheme is black primer heavy dry brushing of dark purple and then a light dry brush of light purple to bring out the color.

You can't even see the purple in the pic so i guess working as intended but the color shows up very nicely in person. CnC welcome.
Thanks for looking,

Great job mate, yeah the purple does not show up at all. I like the look and the basing is a great contrast to the painted model. More please! :)

Cheers

Probably not relevent in this situation because you are happy with the result but one way of highlighting black with another colour is to lightly drybrush white or elf grey and then drybrush the purple/red/whatever. That way the colour isnt fighting to be visible over the black as it has the lighter backing to make it stand out more prominantly especially on the edges where the colour should be more visible due to lighting etc.

Also now that I think about it the varnish may be muting the purple so I'll take some pre varnish shots also.

Ok some closer pictures with different lighting, and a group shot of the other 5 knights waiting to be based. Can see my painting/video game station in the background lol... it's a mess i know.

Looks like the purple is just a little more visible doesn't look so black.
