Right - The colour scheme for the Krieg units is this:
- Basecoat spray with Model Master FS 35164 Intermediate Blue
- A wash using Jo Sonja's Burnt Sienna Acrylic (watered down)
- Metallic detail painted using GW Boltgun Metal
- details added last (roman numerals, brass eagles etc)
- Wash with diluted Woodland Scenics Black.

Quick spray with Testors Dullcote and I'm done.

Gives a nice rusty/dirty feel to them, just how I imagine Krieg to look.

I've finally finished the Tau ?:) .

Firewarrior Cadres.

Gun Drones (had to put ruins on the bases to pick them up with.. So fragile!

Heavy Drones (DRM Hubries)

Alien Auxilliaries - Kroot Kindred (DRM Kraytonian proxies) & Gue'Vesa (DRM Jungle Troops).

I bought all the DRM proxies from Mark_Logue (Aussie Distributer).
I've got some more Stingrays and Drone Sentry Turrets coming for Christmas but that should be the end of the most expensive army I've ever painted!

The Hubries really came up looking the part, I didn't think they would fit that well from looking at unpainted ones.

I am really looking forward to having a game against these guys.

Money is always an issue here unfortunately... ????
My tax refund only went this far. To have more Drones, I would have needed to drop something else.

Thanks guys for the comments, much appreciated ?:) .

Back to painting my brothers Krieg army. He wants to use them during his holiday (and I might actually start getting more regular games in ? )

Please excuse the double post but I need to share my pain!

I do all my hobby stuff out in the workshop/garage. I've only been doing Epic stuff (this time around, not counting the late 80's) since the beginning of the year. I've been storing most of my minis out there aswell.

Well I live in Perth, Western Australia and it gets pretty hot here (we just had the hottest November on record). I know most of you are northern hemisphere residents but down here its summer and definately warming up.

Here's the proof -

:( ? :glare:

I'm very lucky as this lot was stored with the rest of my I.G. army but only these bits were effected. Very close call.

Needless to say, all armies are out of the heat now. Weird that my Lord of the Rings minis have never melted and I've been painting them out there for over 2 years now.

Maybe I'll have to talk the missus into letting me have airconditioning out there ???? ? :D .

Whoa! How hot is there? You definately need air conditioning system. Luckily not too many minis got affected. :)

Funny, that - here in Malta we get temperatures up to 40centigrade, and that never happened.  Or was it hotter still?
Could be that the bases were effected (and LOTR not) because of the different type of plastic. Judging by the way they bent, it seems they expanded and then contracted again on cooling, but the troops and basing material (or more likely, the adhesive used) resisted that contraction resulting in the warping of the bases.

Like you said at least it was only a small amount of models, but still that has to suck :( .  I have only had that happen to me one time and that is because I forgot my army in the trunk on my car during the middle of a hot Texas summer.  Hope you can salvage the minis and just rebase them.
