An update after some time. I'm back to marines, but this time not for myself. I decided to start in on two landspeeder squadrons and go from there.

What do you mean "not for yourself?" Those aren't your Imperial Fists?

Can I get a closer look at them? The look great, but I wanna be all critical with ya LOL!!

And how about those pilots? Man are they tiny!! There's plenty of room for a larger version of the guys I don't know why they sculpted them in 3mm style.

Finally those square bases and a paper clips make a fine stand for those guys huh? Was yours as hard to get to stand up as mine were?

They are my imperial fists, just not for me. :)

I was wondering about that, they did seem much smaller than the normal marine troops. I believe they sculpted them to be the correct size to the speeder though the 40k one seems alright without using smaller pilots.

Hard to stand up? not particularly... the hardest part was gluing on the weapons straight. I'm pretty pleased with the bases and pins I think I got them just long enough and they blend in well enough that from almost every angle you can barely see how they are hovering over the base. I also kept them a bit shorter most times to keep the center of gravity low.

Mate

Awsome work, they look fantastic. I know what you mean though about gluing on the weapons, I have had no end of drama with these speaders.

Cheers

Come on...you paint Wh40k models and then you shrink them...right?

Thanks all. It's been a rather surprising cold week here so I wasn't able to get much base coating done. Instead I painted up these two that were done before it got chilly. It has cleared up so I got my shadowswords ready to paint too. After I finish the ToTW09 painting I'll move back to the fists and hopefully complete two tac detachments and a few others.

These are the two warhounds I got off Silentbob a while back. They painted up pretty quickly... about two days paint time so it was a little rushed but, ah well.

eh... maybe as a display piece but not so much as a game piece I think.

For those interested, here is a higher res shot of them:

Well I finished up a couple of IF tactical detachments tonight but I didn't have time for pics. I should be getting to that tomorrow evening and finishing the construction phase of a few objectives for my armies. Now that I've got 3 playable imperial armies I figured it was about time they got some decent objectives to go with them.
