The optional weapons go on wing-mounted pylons, they don't replace the troops, they complement them.

It's an AND/OR, not an OR. :)

Well IA2 page 155 gives out a completely different picture.

Last paragraph on p.155
"In addition, the Thunderhawk can carry various payloads of missiles and bombs for specific bombing missions."

So basicly those aren't carried on troop insertion. You don't want to have the bombs attached to bottom of the hull if you're landing hard into ground :;):.

Oh, I just checked the 40k rules, which allow you to take missiles or bombs in addition to any troops you carry.

You can carry out more than one order per mission. :)

Officer: "Pilot, why didn't you pepper the LZ with bombs before you landed?"

Pilot: "I was carrying Marines Sir!"

Officer: "..."

15 minutes is enough time to make orbit, refit and drop back to the combat zone for marines surely? These munitions would just be cliped back on by servitors and rembr these things can go bloody fast, they can after all carry a massive payload by todays standards into orbit!

That reference sheet any use to you?

Hmmm ... so you're saying you can call-in CAS ... every other turn ? And if you do it right; every turn, if you stagger flights ?

Fair enough, no need for one-shot on the missile upgrade I guess!

Still seems a bit odd to me that you could turn around a plane in just a few minutes (We're talking what, 5 minutes flying towards the target, a quick strafe, five minutes flying back, and then five minutes refueling... it just seems ridiculously quick to me and my real-world considerations).

Mine arn't on white backgrounds, but if you like them then I could put them on white backgrounds.

I have

Prometheus

Mark IV Fruioso dread

Baal class predator

I also have a partly finished siege dread with inferno cannon and siege hammer and a (still) WIP crusader, as well as a tempest that has gone and got itself lost ?:(

I would love to have the Prometheus & Crusader on white-painted backgrounds.

The Furisio & Baal I don't really need as they're more appropriate to a Blood-Angels list than a 'full codex' article (Only equipment available to 'codex' chapters should be in there).

IIRC, TRC, said an Epic turn = 15 mins, and IIRC, that is right ...  Today ... 15 mins is way too, fast ... but in the future ?  IIRC, E40K had rearm & Refit rules ...  But like I said, regardless of the time/per ... you could stagger flights and have CAS every turn ...

Well considering in 40k the table is 100 metres (1 inch = 2 metres apparently) wide I reckon the fight could be over in 5 minutes judging by all the standing around in the open people do :)
