I am planning on doing up a couple of battle reports soon anyway.
I am hoping to run at some point a tournament/gamesday that is a team event good/evil that combines EA, BFG, 40K and AI.
One of the ideas that I am hoping to use is independent objectives for the players given in envelopes. So there will be slight differences in the objectives between the two players and they won't know exactly what there opponents objective is. We are planning on trying this concept out by writing up several slight variations on the tournament scenario objectives and then picking a random one each before games and not telling the other person what our objectives are until determining victory conditions. My preferred version would be to just tell each other how many objectives you have achieved until someone wins but its probably better to tell the other person at the end of turn three in-case someone has misinterpreted one of the objectives.

I like the idea of secret objectives.

I'm waiting for those reports. There is lots of painted infantry... Just little time and they are all finished.

I had a little time the other day so I chipped in and painted her Avatar. I have left the Court of the Yong King for her though.
Planning on doing a bit of a playtest with the Inquisition list tonight against her Eldar. No battle report on that game though as the Inquisition isn't painted and we aren't going to bother setting up a proper table (just on the table tennis one).

hehe nice eldar. Wish I could get my wife to paint that good, but she rather read blogs and has little time now due to the new baby.
She has tried her hand at a 40K Firewarrior, but left her choice of Tau army for me to paint instead.
