Incredible job, javelin. Krooza's orky muse has inspired you as well.   Can't wait to see this painted.

Some points of discontent:

* I'm dissatisfied with the jaw, but haven't figured out how to do a better one yet.

* I finally abandoned feet and put on tracks (I'll show those in a subsequent picture).

* The power cable coming out the back of the gatling is wretched and will have to be replaced.

And I may add a few more passengers to the back platforms (maybe even one on the ladder).  I have some loose gretchen that might end up there.  The chainfist was a pain in the butt, until I decided to draw a template in Photoshop and use that to score lines in the plasticard I was using.

The whole beast is pretty solid, too.  Before I put on the fine details, I was able to balance a gallon of milk on its head without so much as a creak.  The body is made out of 2mm thick plasticard, which was probably overkill, but gives it good strength.

*Sigh*  Sadly, I have more finishing work in the basement to do this weekend, so I may not get much done on it.

Does anyone have suggestions for good ribbed hose or wire for the gatling?  I can borrow one from my son's Legos, but I hate to do that.

It might be to large in diameter, but you might be able to use part of a drinking straw that's designed to bend.

Guitar string might work well, one of the thicker ones. ?Can't tell if you have already used some for some of your other piping.

Used heavy guitar or pianostring is also good. Of course you need to have access to those in the first place as it is a bit expensive to buy loose IMO...

Guitar string would be my suggestion too.  Either a low "E" or bass string would be worth checking out.

I recommend that we all make friends with guitarists. ?According to the movies they break those things all the time, which makes them useless for music, but still fair game for modeling!

Movies never lie, do they?  Do they?

I actually did go to a guitar shop, but the largest strings I could find were only about 1/16th of an inch thick.  Guess I'll have to try a piano store.  Or I might order something from a Lego parts dealer.

Yeah... that's because I couldn't figure out how to make decent feet!  I replaced them with tracks.  It's a poor solution, but after all the failed attempts I made at feet, I was of the mindset to put some tracks on the bugger and leave it!  The tracks got lost in shadow, though;  I'll have to take a better pic of those.

on the cable issue, have you tried a group of 3 or 4 guitar/piano strings bound togther with somthing thinner like thread or really thin wire ? just a thought.
the gargant as a whole is great, i dont mind the jaw , uneven is fine on ork stuff ! also i aways like tracks on somthin that big anyway, it helps my suspention of disbelief. :D
