Looks nice but 100 of these guys sounds intimidating to say the least! :p

How about simply cuting off the shoulder pads from the regular termies and replace those with your own. It's save a considerable mmount of sculpting time instead of building the entire body from scratch.

Excellent stuff, Reaver.  And good call on the all-in-one base.

Umm, two. This working-for-a-living thing keeps getting in the way.... :( ?Although I'm halfway through the third one, which is getting a helmet and an assault cannon.

I'm thinking of changing the design a bit too. I'm thinking of doing them like Warmaster models, where they are in a line, overlapping a bit. Or should they all stay separate? Can I get everyone's opinions on this?

Regards,
Reaver

I'd be very interested to see them done that way, at least. ?I don't have many ideas about the aesthetics or practicalities of it.

Great shield and pose. :)

IMHO, separate is best (though i don't know about the practicalities and realities of sculpting).

What about a bit of both?

Have them seperate for those termies with flamers assault cannons and storm bolters, but packed together if they have thunder hammers and storm shields or lightning claws.

I'm sure that a (storm) shield wall could look very intimerdating.

I'd do them seperate so that you could cut the tab and change the places of the models in the squad.

I'd planned to do all 100, but now I'm thinking maybe do 20, then mould them and cast the rest.

That sounds like me with my crazy plans when I start them.  Except I have never even considered trying to sculp in Epic scale.  You have definitely earnt my respect, nice work.  (except with me sculpting thirty miniatures for an army has only reached number 6 after a couple of years)

Quick update: I've started putting the tiny Termies together in a Warmaster stylee strip. I'm curving them round a bit, though, as I tend to mount my Epic stuff on circular bases.
Only three Termies done so far, I'm afraid, so not even a full stand yet! I keep getting distracted by other projects. :D
Anyway, here's a WIP pic:

Reaver
