Hi,

after a 2-week Internet break, I'm back with some pictures of my Chaos demons.

I finally decided on a black + snow mix for my bases. It looks just sinister and chaotic enough for my tastes, and more importantly it's easy to do. ?

Here we go:

All over the model

- Black undercoat

- Purple Ink wash

- Midnight Blue drybrush
- Regal Blue drybrush
- Enchanted Blue drybrush
- Ice Blue light drybrush

- Purple Ink wash
- Magenta Ink wash
- Orange wash

- Enchanted Blue drybrush
- Scaly Green drybrush

- Blue Ink wash

On arms, heads and other extremities

- Blazing Orange drybrush
- Bad Moon Yellow drybrush
- Scorpion Green light drybrush

On eyes and other recesses

- Blood Red (diluted)

There. Complicated, long and somewhat messy, but that's the best I could do for these "ever-changing clours".

Great conversion and great paintjob !!!
I really like the twisted colored look on them. They look really "warped"...

I've got one negative(sorry for that!): The snow looks too white imo, its very bright. But that might be due to the camera's flash?

Thanks guys !

I've kept the Discs riders for future use, but I'm afraid the Beasts riders didn't survive the intervention of the Clippers of Doom.

@KillerLoop: yes, the whiteness is mostly due to the camera's flash. I've used GW's snow and I must say that it looks quite good.

Makes sense ... I've seen clipped Disc Riders based with CSMs ... Looked good ... I just painted mine and used them since we still use SM1 & SM2 TO&Es or in G/W "New Speak" - Army Lists !

here's a couple of pics of my newly-painted Demonettes. I tried to keep the same tones as the Beasts, but used lighter colours (Demonettes are supposed to have pale skin).

Great work Hojyn !

My favorite are the modular marine stands. This seems like a great cost effective way to keep your force versatile. How did you do this? Are the characters attached to the base by magnets?
