Okay the temporary solution for the sabres have arrived- finally and although half of them did not have the side gun mounts to fit on the turrets supposed to be 2 packs of 5, received one pack complete the other incomplete.

I put small paper clip pins on the side to represent larger guns.

I also took some closer detailed shots of the camoflauge scheme on my 6mm drop troopers.

Only a temporary proxy. Just until Vanguard makes their planned proxies for the sabre, or a similar type of ground based AA drop capable weapon. I had made an order back in early July from magistair militarum for some kettenkrads (german paratrooper deployable half trak motorbikes), and another in mid July for the M51 Quad AA gun trailers seen in the pic.

I received the second order (missing the quad 50cal MGs from the second pack, but decided to add the wire to the 30mm autocannons. The KettenKrads are still to arrive, but I might have them set up so they tow some of the trailers whent they arrive - as it has not been shipped yet. Maybe they need to restock them.

I really like the auscam camo myself. I am using an insane detail brush, and just dabbing a single drop of paint here and there on the pants and shirts and then adding the next colour in the same way. It takes time, but is worth it. I m hoping to finish the last of the regimental command company this weekend, and start on a squadron of drop sentinels next.

I think you'll find the GHQ kettencrads way to small to use with epic, they are really tiny.

Well if you purchased via Magister and they didn't have any in stock they would have to wait for a restock from the USA a restock that may not be submitted right away.

I got the Magister KettenKrads, and they are OMG tiny.

I think they are probably 2mm scale, rather than 6mm or 3mm scale.

I compared ot to a VAnguard Skinnerz biker, and it is 1/3 the height, and length.

The kettenkrad is in scale with their other vehicles, the problem is epic has never really been true 6mm 1/285 scale. Yes most of the plastic infantry was around 6mm tall but the vehicle scale was all over the place. Another factor was that GW designed much chunkier vehicles for the core range which skewed the scale even further.

Well I found a use for them. I am going to use them for gaslands as RC bombs.

I finally finished the command company. It took a while today, but I finally did it. I think the wet mud spots to represent foot prints worked fairly decently, as did the vehicle tracks. The bases is supposed to be a muddy swamp area with swamp grass and reeds growing up in crops here and there.

like in a march with marsh reeds and grasses.

The mud looked to plain and boring, and I did not want to overwhelm the base with the grass - you would not be able to see the minis. Basing is my weak point, while the painting and detail is my strong point.
