Nice inclusion of the Trolls Artemia pattern Hellhounds. Always was a huge fan of them.

Thanks all, I am working on the second Armoured Infantry Company at the moment but I have managed to finish the bases of the already painted models (barring adding bushes).

Here are the Regimental/Crusade markings I am using when painted on the Chimeras. With the addition of some white turret numbers I don't think the white is too overpowering?

ps. Ignore the luminous grass!! And it is very scary seeing the models 2-3 times bigger than they actually are!!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone!!

Progress has been made on the painting front so I have just had to buy more resin to balance it out ;)

The two 20mm square bases will be for the Company Command Squads, just to mark them out easier. I will need to purchase some more infantry models to fill them up though!

First up an overview shot of the army as it stands at the moment:

I have really enjoyed painting this lot so far, and I have managed to resist starting my Eldar army!

Thanks for looking,
Peter

How did you conceal the tabs on the bottoms of your infantry? Pre-bought acrylic paste? PVA'n'sand, or wha? I really like it, and I might just cave and get MDF, unslotted bases for a project of my own if it's easy enough.

Hi Doomkitten, it's simply PVA and sand. Most of the model bases are quite thin so that the sand, especially the courser lumps, are the same height or higher when spread on to the base. I tend to then go back with a second layer in some areas to create a rough, uneven surface and this helps disguise further the bumps around each models feet!

Nifty! You make it look excellent with the rich earth colours you've chosen. I've not had altogether much luck with concealing larger (15mm) stuff's base tabs with the pva'n'sand, honestly hadn't given it a serious thought to trying it with the 6s, having tried various pastes and fillers instead. I think I'll have to give it a go if it can look that good. Thanks!

Hi all,

Time for your next dose of poorly taken pictures! I promise that when this lot are painted I shall enlist the expertise of my GF to take some better ones ::)

My enthusiasm for this project has meant that I have been working on them during quiet moments in the office...

And the models just finished today, some lovely Demolishers!

Thanks for looking ;D

Demolishers look great.
Extra kudos to you too for getting them done at work!
