Quote (dafrca @ 14 May 2006 (19:48)) | Well done! Looks nice and the time needed was reasonable.
I still believe you should also do one you are less then excited to do. There is a diferance between doing something for yourself and doing something you are less then excited about.
But that is just my .02
dafrca | yes i agree with you there dafrca then though i like painting blood angels i found myself a 1point during the day giving up for that day but since i like blood angels i carried on.
still its given me ideas like comission starters sets of 1000pts for epic.
but right now BR33 goes into the shadows while he works on the website.
Until then FELLOW EPIC GAMERS!!

yes i agree with you there dafrca then though i like painting blood angels i found myself a 1point during the day giving up for that day ?but since i like blood angels i carried on. | I have had a few friends try their hand at the "Pro" thing. Each say things like "I love to paint so why not get paid to paint."
Three of them have stopped and each for about the same reason. One put it this way: "How many WWII Germans can you do before you want to hurl?"
I figure it is work, but it also has a lot more pressure because return business is very important and word of mouth is deadly if it goes against you.

Quote (The_Real_Chris @ 14 May 2006 (12:05)) | You could even ask tuffskull if he needs another painter on the team if he likes your work (that way you avoid all the business aspects ). |
hehe.
Sorry to say, but I've found keeping other painters up to the standards I try to provide is more hard work than its worth & I'm not taking on any other painters.
Even the guys I do have on my site rarely take on commissions these days - they've all got other jobs & I only pass things over to them when I'm too busy & have a job that they're really well suited to.
Nice looking force BR33 & an impressive turnaround time too! You should do well on the intro armies market!!
