I for one have always liked the whole drop troop idea. (hienlan you Cad!) A group of infantry with backpacks and bulpup weapons would be cool. I already modeled some 15mm drop troops, didnt think of doing it for 6mm. will give it a try.

Hmm interesting thread/idea. Has potential to be a good group project.


I'd be several times more interested in seeing nicer great-coat Siege infantry models than Drop Troopers myself, and I suspect they'd have wider appeal. That said if Elysian infantry were done well one hypothetically might like a small amount, maybe to use as storm troopers or to mix in with other human soldiers.

Regarding sentinels I'd only be interested if nice better scale CAD sentinels were done, I have some of the current GWs and am not a fan. As to other bits, not sure. Venators could make cool alternate Sentinel or Salamander proxies possibly, even if you weren't running E. Vendetta conversion kit possibly? That'd appeal to the Epic-UK types too with whatever they called their Elysian clone list. Issue of whether to base it on the FW or GW scale though.

Looks like a good idea - I'd probably get some. I'd far prefer conversion packs like this than new CAD versions of models we already have. That isn't intended as a criticism of anybodies  CAD efforts which have produced great models.

Generic grav-chute laser weapon troopers with the occasional demolitions expert, and the odd mortar with a plug in stand would be very nice though, and reckon I'd buy some.  I can't think of models to proxy elysians right now.

I don't think chances are high that forgeworld will make an aeronautica scale heavy lift valk either, that might be a good conversion hull.

I've not played them, only observed the thread. In an extremely general term it just looks like it's missing something, I haven't been able to make any good mental army lists of my own yet. It's one that I'd probably buy a few models for and watch the development before committing to playing as an army, having said that, would try and proxy an army for it to playtest a recommended list if ever I could.
