Think I may have the picture you are referring to:

Exactly. Is is me or does the rear part of the vehicle seem to be a weird angle compared to the plastic version? Also the lance weapon looks a bit strange to me.

I remember getting that white dwarf and dismissing even trying to paint them like that! :)

I too have no recollection of the Orks.

Yes, the metal Orks Boyz, Ork Battlewagons and Falcons were studio pieces ... but I think Doug/DRM has some of the Orks ...  In those pics, you can see the Ork Thud Gun, Ork Dreads and a few of the Eldar Dreads ....  I'll have to post pics of the others from my collection ... :alien:  And I have enough of the metal Eldar Infantry to make 6 or 8 stands ... :vD

Old minis = heresy.

Those minis look nothing like the current lines and are/were obviously produced to create confusion.  Jetbikes & robots never existed in 40K and these models are proof of evildoers with a malicious agenda...

I never saw the lead Ork battlewagons hit stateside and I did look for them at the time.  Probably unreleased like the Mk.0 Warlords etc.

Ah poor confused young boy ... I believe you are suffering for G/W's version of Orwellian New-THINK ... :) These were released back during the dawn of Epic.  Robots, Jet bikes, etc. were 40K models before they were Epic scale ...  These were from the era of the Heresy ... Very nice models for their time ...    The only evil that has been done ... was to corrupt your mind of the truth Lad ...    :)  Now run along a play, son ... And know you have heard the truth from someone who was there  ... :) :vD   8v)

AHA!!!

What shade of camo are those robots on the second row? *cough cough* :vD :p :)) :;):

Ah ... ye of little faith ... Those 'bots are in Jungle Green ...  They look a bit bright in the light of day ... But in the dark shadows of the jungle or rain forest ...  They'd blend right in ...  Ã‚ I have been to the jungle many times in my past career ...  Take my word for it ...

Was it 4-5 types of Eldar dreads? I only got two types and the Spirit Warrior
Oh, at good catch on the Ork Dreaddies. i forgot about those

Stand-by ...                                                                                    The Boys in the back are the Eldar cannon & crew ...                                                                                                        The last 2 rows are the SM1 era Ork Dreads ....

Stand-By ... again ...  :alien:  :vD

Thanks fot he pics - love the tiny detail on the 'eavy metal ones.

Afraid I don't have many metal marine infantry (maybe 4?!) but lots of dreads and robots.

What I do have which I do not need/want is the old tarantulas - they don't have integral marines so I'm not that bothered (whereas thudd guns and mole mortars are cool!).

When I get home from my holidays I will dig them out and let you know what I have (to L4!).

Also, I had some current sentinels on eBay which the_real_chris bid for - the auction did not go through so if he wants them - PM me.  Perhaps someone can forward this message to him?

Hi L4, almost forgot about this - I have 1.5 metal tarantulas - yours for nowt if you want them. Two tops and one base. I will have spare marine dreads and robots - once I find out detachment sizes for SM2.

Regards,
