Ok it's been awhile since my last update as Vanguard has blitzed much hobby time but I can't complain if the business is doing ok can I.

So not much happening except building troops and basing stuff to get undercoated. But I have added a few details to the imperator these are resin items from the dropzone commander range, building rooftop furniture set.

These have been used underneath the platform and to fill in the space and cover the plastic sheet I used to extend the hull sides up with.

I've done a little scratch build work for the upper deck too which I will show once it's tidied up and i'm happy with it.

Digging the little gribblies underneath everything. That attention to details is what makes this work.

Jimmy mate i'm digging deep into my bits box to add detail to this thing. I want all the scratch build areas to blend in with the original model for detail level so that it dosen't look out of place.

It's a long way of finishing yet and I still have to figure out how to do the leg bastions and several other features including a suitably large plasma gun front end to add to the arm.

Cheers guys

For the Plasma Annihilator you could use plasma cannons from Dark Angels' Land Speeder Vengeance (Dark Shroud - it is a dual kit).

This model (LS Vengeance) has crappy rules so nobody uses it but the other one is quite popular. This means that there should be plenty of those cannons waiting to grab. I would give you mine but unfortunately I'm going to build a Predator Executioner for my ever-expanding wh40k Dark Angels army.

BTW, excellent work on that Imperator. :)

I'll be using an ectoplasma cannon from a 28mm forgefiend on my Legio Mortis one. It's a chaos weapon so is what I'm after, but after a bit of attention with a craft knife might be what you are after. Plus I'll grab the hades autocannon from the same kit for the other arm too.

Another option might be the plasma destroyer from a leman russ executioner.

No matter what you choose I'm sure it will be great!
Keep up the awesome work!

Hey thanks for the suggestions guys. Another option i've considered is a Forge World dreadnought weapon but it's knowing if these pieces will look right scale wise.

More research required I think.

Look at the plastic Leman Russ Executioner turret gun. It looks similar, but might be larger than the others. I'm not sure I've only ever seen it in pictures.

Thanks for the suggestion GlynG it's probably a good match for size only problem with all these suggestions though is of course the need to buy a whole plastic kit for which I have no use for the rest of the model.

Nah, no need to buy a whole kit.

You could buy one from one of various online 'bits' sites. E.g. http://www.bitsandkits.co.uk/leman-russ ... -5282.html

Or ask local IG players, or online for one. It's one of a handful of different gun options that come with the plastic Demolisher kit and some players will glue another gun in and have one spare.
