I guess the plan shows the asymmetry best - something discussed in another thread, something I like for Chaos - especially Tzeentch. The part-rooftop and the tower turned at an irregular angle with respect to the basilica help.

Well, that's the end of the picture show. This was builty with Ottermanic donations, and a few other bits from the 40K vehicle sprue, a white-out roll gear, a 40x40 base, 2 flamers from the newer Chaos sprue, and a troll and a disc rider from the older one.
This was a real fun model to make - thanks for the ride, Otter.  :cool:  :D

Thanks guys - and glad you like it Otter, seeing it's mostly made out of your stuff.

Mr Troll: you wouldn't believe what a simple paintjob he has - white undercoat, very thin olive green paint for skin, almost a wahs; blue loincloth, brown club, metal spikes on club. Gunmetal base (to match the palace). Chestnut wash over the lot, and the details leap out in this greatly underrated little model.

Incidentally, to avoid obvious scale issues with the building architecture, I used the troll and flamers as they're non-human and less bound by scale. The disc rider is a bit of a give-away, but his tall hat makes scaling less easy, and although he's not clearly seen here, he looks great speeding away from the palace.

Next up - well, a couple of days ago someone in the labs was messing with a dead hard drive.

This night I woke at 0300 in a panic over my PhD. Fed the cats (any hour is food hour) and went to the study to do some work, seeing I couldn't sleep; and I finished building something instead.  :p

'Fraid you'll have to wait. Painting still to be done - but with the buckets of rain coming down, the undercoat will take some waiting.
