No progress on painting spike i'm afraid. I tried doing the panel lines by hand with badab black wash but wasn't happy with the result, so i need to find a way to paint all the panel lines that isn't going to take forever to do.

Does anybody have any suggestions.

Well I usually spray black and then paint over the flat part of the panels but this horse is out of the gate, so to speak. Going to be a bitch but considering just how cool this thing is I think it is worth it is to use 6mm painting tape and mask off the lines and paint black or dark grey. When you peel it off you'll have clean perfect lines. You can see this done on the wings of my Thunderbolts in my ToEG and on the radar scenery as well.

I've also seen 0.2mm drafting pens used to good effect, though my own sucess with this method is limited.

Thanks for the ideas guys, i shall think on these. I may paint inside the channeling a slightly darker shade to make them stand out.

Very cool indeed! How big is that thing? Comparison shot with an Infantry stand perhaps? or an Imperator... or whatever!

The model is about 15cms high, this one will not appear again until i have finished painting it, so a size comparision will have to wait sorry.

Thanks everybody for your kind words they are really appreciated. This has taken a lot of effort to create and the support from the forum has really helped me carry on and get it done, hopefully pics before the end of next month or sooner if possible. I'm only painting the thing at weekends, so it's taking awhile. ;)
