Hi Jimbo and Gang,

Quote (Jimbo @ 21 Dec. 2005 (18:58))
Quote (MaksimSmelchak @ 21 Dec. 2005 (15:50))
My project is not confidential. I've announced it and am happy to share with or include anyone interested. I have a support web site up with open membership. I've made a point of including anyone interested. I invited you too because I think you're a great guy.

...but you are a competitor.
Your rules will be in direct competition to Doug's, each trying to appeal to the same group of 6mm gamers.
There would have been a conflict of interest.

I can't speak for Doug, but it sounds like he is more interested in putting out minis than rules and I'm more interested in putting out rules than minis... sounds like a good pairing to me! :D

I'm also very interested in getting past the competitor mindset. And that's more than words, I'm working on the "Planetfall" project very closely with a number of manufacturers/publishers including Wessex, Brigade, Baccus and others. I'm all about having everyone work together rather than at odds with each other.

If you want to be a good businessman (or business woman for that matter), you praise your compatriots in the market (...when they earn it, of course) and include everyone.

While I don't mind constructive criticism, I don't every want to "bad-mouth" anyone else. Positive vibes, man... positive vibes... ?:D

I know L-4 will know where that quote came from...

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

P.S.
Here is a link to the public support group for "Planetfall":

Hi Doug,

Quote (darkone26 @ 21 Dec. 2005 (17:04))
Maybe through lack of communication that could have been misinterpreted but from the help point of view you just need to PM me. I just interpreted the message wrong and felt it was more to do with me than anyone else.
As for the fine post, I appreciate it out in the open rather than ill feeling, I hate that and if it's a problem then spit it out. So thank you back.... I appreciate the honesty! :)

No worries, mate. Chalk me down in the "supportive friend" category.

And I'm serious about being a help, let me know and I'll deliver the best I can.

And I've already seen your prospective product promoted across a number of E-groups... took me just a few minutes and may help your business to be a better success!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

P.S.
I also have a set of Forgeworld roads you might be interested in.

Hi!

I think Maksims and Dougs projects can be mutually supportive.

I see no barriers to cooperation.

That's one of frame of mind, but I'm encouraging everyone to take the "Mojarn" solution:

"BUY BOTH SETS OF RULES!" :D

Shalom,

I'm not sure but will there be a dedicted rule set for the DRM minis?

Or is this like extreme hobbies where they make the minis and encourage you to use whatever rules you would like.

And there is enough enough love if not cash for everybody... :D

Maybe *free* downloadable rules? Or as Wizzkids: rules with package?
Don't listen to me as I will not start new games.... I'm glad if I manage 10 BFG games in a year. Specialist Games is in my neighbourhood like: 'What?'

Yes, I remember you saying that M/S on your PF site ! :D  Yes, I still believe both rule sets and minis will compliment the 6mm world ! :;):

Well, at least I have something named after me.

So far there are two such things in Epicomms.

1) Primarchload: amount of minis beyond the unbelievable.
2) Mojarn solution: Instead of choosing one ruleset, buy them all.

EDIT: there's actually a third:
3) L4 way: do whatever works for you.
