Paint will be awhile still in design and construction phase. More plastic to be aquired and much still to do.

As to stats well where to start, will have to work on that when the model is finished. :)

I am hopeing to have the construction finished over the next month, but that depends on events and time as it is taking longer than i had anticipated to cover the hull. All the cutting and fileing the pieces to fit is time consuming to say the least.

Hope to have another update soon. :)

The WE is amazing and you're showing great skills there!

Any ideas about rules or count-as?

Rules for the engine, i am open to suggestions on this as i only play infrequently so have a limited idea how to process a reasonable balanced profile for gaming.

It would be best used for a dedicated scenario i think. Although it would make a scary model to put on the table of an unsuspecting opponent. ;D

At the moment it is armed with the main battery of twin link plasma annihilators, with the option of firing them individually i think as a good idea.

Each side of the pyramid has two triple battle cannon turrets and three close defense heavy bolter ball turrets.

There are sixteen twin linked defence turrets to protect the underhull and track sections, and i have just added two batteries of anti aircraft guided missiles to the upper hull.

So if anybody wants to come up with a reasonable profile for this bad boy please fire away. :)

There's a DC20 war engine in the Stygian Abyss List that was designed with this in mind.

OK another update nearly done on this project i think.

I have finished covering the hull and added more symbols and details. Also added AA missile batteries to each side, exhaust ports to the rear, and observation windows on the upper front section.

Still need to tidy up the hull, finish the gun bay and decide when i have added enough detail to the thing.

Pics are not the best due to late evening light.

Nearly done with this engine. The outer hull is finished just need to complete the gun room. I have raided the micro armour bits box to add small details such as the radars. And put a few more chaos symbols on to.

Hope to have some base coated pics up this week. :)

A future project i would like to do sometime. I've always wanted to do the seige of the emperors palace so some form of large city walls have aways been on my radar as a project. With FW doing the horus heresy books im sure to have some inspiration for this.

Gun room done. Just need to paint the weapon crews and the guards.

Gone for army green spray as a base colour.

OK Spike has been base coated. In the necropolis novel the chaos forces are said to be an ochre colour so looking at my range of paints and wanting to spray the base colour, i went for a colour as close to vallejo green ochre as i could get. Finally decided on middlestone as this is available as a spray can from the FOW range as late war german armour, which i happen to have already.

I did some over spraying around the base and various points around the model with army painter desert yellow to add some highlights. And sprayed the corners and summit with another lighter sand colour i had handy, this all helps to break up the base colour.

Pictures show the model ready for weathering and shading and highlighting, it's going to be a big job to get a good finish i think.

What do you think so far.
