I may donate to the AMF (Amphibious Mammal Fund) to help facilitate a particular type of viewing.

A small update. Started adding some details to the model. However two major areas still need to be worked on: Side sponsons (below the large side windows) and the rear access ramp. I'll probably add some more thin strips of plasticard to the sides for a more textured ornamentation.

Wow, this is very impressive!  :agree:  :agree:

It reminds me of a picture in Codex Witch Hunters, there's a huge tracked fortress in the background that I always imagine as a Leviathan.

VERY cool!

Love your work WMN.
(and I'd be interested in helping the forementioned Amphibious Mammal Fund to help facilitate a particular type of viewing aswell)

More updates: Side sponsons pretty much done. Rear ramp 90% complete. Minor details still need fixing. Only major part still to do is the front relief on the hood of the vehicle. I'd like to do something like what Reaver did for his WIP project, though I'm not that confident in my own sculpting abilities. IN the end it might be some mix of filed down miniatures and greenstuff

What about some armour plates to cover the sides of the tracks?

I've been thinking a lot about that actually. ON one hand it will make the model a whole lot easier for O-man to cast. On the other, I'm a bit worried that it might make the model look very tall. As it is now, the tracks creates a nice contrast to the more "boxy" look of the superstructure. I'll do a few tests to see what works, but I'm trying to avoid that the model end up looking too boxy.

I'll try and make a quick mock up so you can judge for yourself. I can't really make up my mind on this.

I think it looks great as it is, but I agree the tracks could be a pain to cast.
Good idea to mock it up both ways! It's the only way to be sure.

Now, about that Zeppelin...  :vD

Regards,
Reaver

HEre's two options. First one is a short skirt that covers the upper part of the tracks while leaving some of it visible. I prefer this option as it still gives a good impression of the track wheels. I like the circular wheels as a contrast to the squareish shapes on the rest of the facade.

The second option is the more realistic one: Track guards that covers pretty much everything. This makes the vehicle look even more like the lumering behemoth it is suppowed to be. However from a purely visual standpoint I think it makes the vehicle a bit less interesting to look at and paint.

I like the first option better. I think it looks better seeing at least part of the bogies and not just the tracks.
